Heard earlier on Al Franken: Bush is behind 2000 numbers in all 50 states
He was talking about a conversation that he had on Saturday with his cousin Bob Franken from CNN, where Bob mentioned that the election of an incumbant president takes on two aspects:
First, does the incumbant deserve to be re-elected based on his first 4 years? and,
Second, is the challenger up to the task?

Clearly the focus of the Dem Convention is to assure the American public that Kerry is the man, but then he came back to the first question, and said that Bush*'s numbers are below the 2000 final percentages in EVERY one of the 50 states; and considering he didn't get the popular vote then, he is in real trouble. And his campaign knows it.

I was unaware of this statistic. Doesn't bode well for Chimpy does it?
Expect negative ads like you've never seen before out the the RNC.

1. Actually, I was noticing how far behind he was compared
to his 2000 numbers. I'm not sure it's in every state, but it's probably at least 95 percent of them.

BTW, I had no idea Al Franken and Bob Franken were related.

2. that's scary
I think Bush & Cheney will go to great lengths to hold onto power - remember, only JFK nixing the plot stopped the US from committing terrorism within the US to blame on Cuba. If the same situation came up in October, would Bush say "no" ? Or, more importantly, would Cheney?
