A New one over Iraq right now.

Mentioning Truman & Ike-- "men who met their military obligations with HONOR"

"Who would not lead Americans into battle in wars of CHOICE"

I am proud of these Dems for saying what needs to be said without offering any red meat to the pukkkes.

7. And so will all the speakers! Thee will be PLENTY of criticism
of Bush and his administration. They didn't say "Don't criticise", they said "Don't bash".

Its not necessary to call Bush an evil baby-killer to get your point across.

13. to the RW, criticism IS bashing.
Maybe the directive goes along the lines of: "Say what you want, but don't mention Bush by name."

14. Listen between the lines
It's nuanced but he is hitting Bush* hard. No holds barred.

Violence has gripped the Holy Land. Anti-American passion is sweeping the lands. This must stop.

This government has made radical departures from its values.

Smacking public panic buttons.

Smacking polarization of country.

We cannot lead if our leaders mislead!

Three strikes from Carter and Bush* is down for the count.

23. Who would not lead Americans into battle in wars of CHOICE
There was somebody on PBS' coverage talking with Jim Lehrer, who objected to this.

"What is a war of choice?" or something like that.

I swear I wanted to smack the idiot.

A war of choice is the alternative Bush chose, rather than a war of NECESSITY, which is the only kind of war that should EVER be fought.
