F**king pundits on MSNBC: kicking the hell out of Carter
Edited on Mon Jul-26-04 08:32 PM by WI_DEM
Especially Joe Scarborough--"Jimmy Carter is the last guy I would have talking about missteps in foreign policy."

and the Newsweek guy, "people will remember the hostages" Well, he also got them all out and alive.

9. Thom, Thom . . .
Yes, it's hard to listen to that bullshit. Best advice: turn on CSPAN, and get it in real time. The pundits are morons anyway, sucking in scum and spitting it out, to fill airtime.

Wait for the good stuff. Patience. If you let Pubbie pig-effers piss you off that much, you'll have a stroke and we'll have one less sane voter.

On the other hand, you're so right . . . .

4. Has the man been living under a rock for the past 20 years?
Or maybe just visiting too many undisclosed locations?

What will people remember about Jimmy Carter and foreign policy? How about peace between Egypt and Israel?

6. Why are you even giving them the time of day?
If you want unbiased, uncluttered coverage of the convention, watch C-SPAN. You don't need Tweety, Scarborough, et al to tell you what to think.

7. they LOVE to drag Carter around their pig-sty. Makes 'em feel macho
But he is a man of grace, intelligence and soul who did the what he thought was right. Contrast to the current asswipe who pretty much rolls the flag around him as he jacks anyone he feels like.

13. Those stupid fuckheads wouldn't know a decent man..
.. if he bit them on the ass. How fucking ridiculous to have those assbites giving blow-by-blow on the convention.. REMEMBER the good old days? WHen the broadcast stations would carry BOTH conventions as thought they were something special?? And they DID NOT have high-paid hecklers, such as Scarborough attacking the speakers?

Those idiots couldn't carry Jimmy Carter's lunch. WHere the fuck did those losers serve? Navy? Army? National Guard?

14. Were the hostages released under Carter or Reagan?
I was too young to remember but I was taught that they left under Reagan. Was I lied to?

20. If Carter were allowed to do his job
he would have released the hostages. Instead, Ronnie and his boys had to grease some palms and line some pockets in order to make Carter look like a fool. Read your history for once.

22. They were released within hours of Reagan taking office
as a partial fulfilment of the pre-election deal between Raygun & the Ayatollah. The rest of the deal was for the Raygunites to sell the Ayatollah weapons & use the profits to finance an illegal war in Central America. Ever hear of Iran-Contra? A whole helluva lot of people got pardons for their criminal actions back then & are now membersw of the Bush admin.

25. Carter arranged thier release
Carter worked hard to get thier release but the "October surprise" which was supposedly Bush I going to Iran and promising them arms if they did not release the hostages until Reagan got into office.

Lo and behold on the day that Reagan was sworn in the hostages were released. And later we had Iran-contra which was arm trading with Iran by the Reagan adminstration against the law of the land.

15. Now, they have some TOOLS holding up Bush/Cheney signs in the backgrd...
If I were there, those assholes would be removing those signs from their asses. It's about time to FIGHT against these Brownshirts.

Also, Matthews has been a complete DICK tonight.

Hmmmm...let's just see how hard he will be on the Repukes during their convention.

19. Missteps in Foreign Policy?
Like dismantling the Energy Department? The solar/renewable energy ideas? Conservation? Instead, we got 30 years of cheap oil and a sucking quagmire in Iraq that's threatening to pull America down.

23. Carter's energy research
was the best bit of foreign policy this country has had for a long time. Think how much better off we'd be if we didn't depend on the Middle East for oil.
