Did Scarborough just endorse Kerry?
I think that's what I just heard. Said he would sleep well and night knowing Kerry was in the WH.

!!!?

1. Yes he did!
Tom just confirmed it on MSNBC--even though Scarborough disagrees with 90% of what Kerry says--he'd sleep well with Kerry in charge!

3. WTF?
How can you disagree wtih 90% of what a person says but say you will sleep well with him in the White House?

5. He was impressed that Kerry turned the boat around to save a life
He thought that showed strong stuff--the kind of person you want on hand in a time of trouble--paraphrasing here but he actually said it quite nicely and believably.

26. Character. I think what Scab was saying was that Kerry.....
.. has character, and is a brave man. You can disagree with that man, but you can know that he will do what is best for this country.

I don't agree with John McCain on many, many issues, but he wouldn't front a war for Halliburton. I would not fear for the Republic and the Constitution if they were in his hands.

Scab shocked me. I mean, really, really shocked me. I think it's a signal to conservatives that it may be okay to drop the clinging to the goofy chimp.

.. and there are times I agree with him. I wish I could figure him out.

15. I never agree with him, he pretends to be fair but is just like O'Reilly
And I'd like to add that he needs cucumber slices to put under his puffy eyes. They really need some work.

20. Exactly, they have to throw a few bones
to make it look fair and balanced. Like when O'Liely says one thing that isn't in line with the Republican platform and then spends half the show bragging about it to show how he's fair and takes both sides.

6. It may just be that the convention is making him realize
that Kerry actually does have a chance of winning this thing. And Scarborough's realizing that that's not such a bad thing after all.

10. Because he's a whore
and will jump ship for whomever he thinks will win. Above all, they don't want to appear to have been WRONG.

They are whores, every last one of them.

12. It would be nice to see a mass media defection
to John Kerry. Whores or not, it can help to have them on our side.

22. Mass defection
It could happen. People want to back a winner. If the media sharks smell blood in the water then I suspect they will start singing the praises of Kerry big time.

11. It had to be sarcasm - anyway Scarface flip-flops from one day to the next
anyway, so who cares what this murderer thinks. Man, so friggin many people obsessing over what Faux and Scarface said - why the fuck are we supporting these FAKE NEWS SOURCES. I watched CSPAN - no bullshit, all awsome speech. Criminy!!

17. It wasn't sarcasm...
You're right--C-SPAN is the best. I just happened to flip through and saw Scarborough--I wouldn't call what he said an endorsement--I'm sure he wouldn't go that far. But it seemed like he was genuinely impressed by Kerry's heroism at that particular moment--still the point isn't that he was impressed (who cares?). The point is: if he could end up feeling that way, how might some voter in a swing state be affected?

23. That sounds like sarcasm...
Scarborough is WAAAAAAAAAAY too far gone to endorse Kerry.

That being said, his commentary during the primaries was actually really good...
