I sacrificed for you ...I watched Fox coverage after Big Dawg spoke
Mara Eliason, Fred Barnes, Britt Hume, Morton Kondrake etc... They were actually honest. They admitted that Clinton out-did himself giving an exceptional speech. Also that Carter was powerful and effective. They poo-pooed Hill but what do you expect from these thugs...

3. They look frightened - Kristol had to admit it was effective.
Barnes kept crossing and uncrossing his arms uncomfortably.

Lovely! Squirm, neocons, squirm!

7. Yes...I was surprised he was there, but I know from personal
experience that people react to the death of a loved one in strange ways. You cope in the best way you know.

5. They're generous with the guys who can't run again
But the person who will stand for election again gets pooh-poohed. Color me surprised as all get out. I'm sure Turd Blossom or Crashcart will be on the horn to Roger Ailes to savage anyone and everyone, relentlessly and without mercy.

6. barnes was whining about the bashing
He said that the Democrats rule against busholini bashing only meant that they didn't use his name.

The Big Dog's brilliant acknowledgement that the publicans believed in the horse shit they spew was devastating. The publicans believe in consolidating power and wealth in the hands of their cronies, in abandoning The People. They actually believe this hateful insanity they have visited on our Great Nation. Bill sweetly delivered a world class kick to their nuts. It couldn't have been more effective.

If only we can continue this energy until November we can sweep the traitors out of Washington.

9. Rowdyboy.....you're my new hero.
I was sooooo moved by Clinton's speach that I'm still crying. It's been almost 1/2 hour, and I'm still crying.

I KNEW that ANY American couldn't hear that speach and NOT crumble under the weight of what Clinton said.

I'll never be the same.

That's all I can say right now...I'm still crying.

24. Swear to god,
...the Big Dawg makes me want to amend the Constitution (well, momentarily, anyway) just so he can be president again and FIX THINGS. He's AMAZING! He can move me to tears just by walking onto the stage.

My partner has been gone since FRIDAY taking care of his 84 year old mother and trying to get her into an acceptable nursing home in her home town.

I've taken a "virtual" shower...Now where's my hug?

11. I watched it too, and the Big Dog out-did himself indeed..
The coverage from Brit and his crew was pretty balanced, compared to Hannity and his "Reinvention Convention" bullshit. Man, that got on my nerves.

12. I watched, too. Gahhh!
Edited on Mon Jul-26-04 10:44 PM by gtrump
I witnessed the lovefest between the king and queen of neocon hatemongering, Hannity and Coulter. As usual, Colmes just sat there on his hands looking freakish and didn't utter a sound except to end with, "Fox is the recognized news leader in Fair an..." Gawd, I can't even bring myself to type such unmitigated bullshit!

Of course, when the Big Dog got done, they all went on about what a good speech it was. Hell, it was freakin' brilliant enough that even those assholes couldn't lie their way around it! Yet Kondracke still managed to throw in the word "demagogue" in the mix.

Jebus H. Breakdancing Palomino, I swear I hate those lying Fox bastards. Somebody give me a ticket and I swear I'll fly up there and follow them all over the convention floor yelling, "LIARS!" at the top of my lungs until they have to leave the building to spout their lies in silence.

On edit: too angry...grammar went AWOL

BOYCOTT FAUX NEWS

Why the fuck are we supporting them by validating their existence. Self hatred I think - they wouldn't exist if they HAD NO DEMOCRATIC VIEWERS!! They would be invalidated!

18. THat's right
fucking TURN them the hell off.

Though I am grateful to RowdyBoy for watching them for six minutes tonight.

But hell's bells, people, don't go there. You don't need those pusbags sliming you with their filth.

Why in the hell do Americans need talking heads to tell them what to think and how to feel anyway? Most of my fence sitting friends get their opinions from talking heads not from reading about or hearing/seeing the actual events.

20. great evening
my wife (never been political) was moved to tears. loved the segues, loved patti labelle following big dog (love that nickname) and it was a very good speach. i found myself imagining bush having run against clinton...

i've got orders to iraq so it's all seen through our lens of worry and stress. my wife is being so brave and jeez, i was thoughtless enough to drag her to f-911. she's so excited by clinton and loved the preacher who served with kerry. me too.

it was great and i pity those who didn't watch c-span. it's priceless.

19. Over at MSNBC, Andrea Mitchell had a look of awe on her face and
mumbled about the "strength and wisdom are not opposing values" comment.

Fineman said that Clinton gave Kerry his identity--the "steady hand" image....
