Russell Simmons!!! Absolutely KILLING Bush on Tweety's Show NOW. |
|
Edited on Mon Jul-26-04 10:43 PM by stopbush
Laying the smack down on the empowerment of voting, the influence of F911 on the young, and much more. All with Tweety looking befuddled while a gaggle of young people in the background are cheering Russell on.
Must see TV.

Brought up the question what would it be like if we spent as much money on education as we do on war, poor people fight the wars and young people fixing what older people have done. Love it.

39. I like the idea of free college, for those that want it. |
|
California had that at one time, before Reagan became governor. Why do we spend so much more on 'defence' rather than the best defence, education.
I wonder how much crime is caused by out-of-work, out-of-school youth. With little future, what ya have to lose?
Free college as long term goal for America is something to consider seriously.
Education is not really a cost, it is investment in the future. Money well spent.

29. Republicans are such simpletons |
|
What's a good decision right now might not be a good decision three years from now. Circumstances change, and intelligent people adapt to the change and view their decisions accordingly. Economic policy isn't just throwing a tax cut at the rich in every circumstance for four years running -- it's evaluating where the problem areas are and coming up with new ideas on how to stimulate them.
Of course, if you actually analyze something and take the time to think of a different approach, they just call you a flip-flopper. It's so frustrating arguing with them. It's like the old line -- you can't argue with an idiot, they just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Whenever I hear this bullshit about "Bush stands up for what he believes," I always retort..."Hitler stood up for what he believed, as well."
That shuts them up REAL fast.

that Russell ;-). After the way he torched * on 60 min II I'm surprised he's let anywhere near a microphone. This has got to be Tweety's worst 4-day stretch of the year.
Hypothetical: Who do the Repugs have to counter Simmons for garnering young people's votes?

Jessica Simpson? She and hubby Nick Lachey both sang at W's inaug. in 2000.
Kid Rock? Nugent? Shannen Doherty? Bo Derek (no longer young, but still beautiful)?
Many, many contemp xtian singers.
Of course there's always Toby Keith.

He has moved from making multi millions in hip hop to his own fashion line. His wife also has a multi million $ clothing line. They are a beautiful couple.
He is also strongly committed to the "Get Out The Vote" efforts. He is a leader and he is dedicated to getting Kerry elected.
Sorry I missed him on Tweety

A forty-something man pushed his way to the front, though. The young ones said "Not me, no way" and made faces. It is official UNCOOL to be a Bush supporter.
That one minute slice of reality between switching channels has renewed my faith in future generations. Along with Clinton's incredible speech, of course.
