Hearing Clinton's speech brought tears to my eyes.

Not necessarily for what he had done or not done, but for what he represented. Here we had the last ELECTED President of the United States, a bona fide intellectual speaking before the convention and the American people once again. His success in politics shows that someone from a hard-scrabble beginning can still climb to the pinnacle in this country. Even watching on TV I can always sense a genuiness about him, someone who actually cares about people. That came through as strong as ever tonight.
