The Repukes have no speaker as awe-inspiring as Clinton. |
|
They have no one who can fire up their voters and the base like Clinton can.
They have nobody like Howard Dean to charge up the voters.
And certainly no one who can attest to Bush's bravery under fire.
What do they have: the neo-cons have pissed off the true old-time conservatives, and the religious-reich wingers will be pissed off at how 'moderate' the convention will be.
The Repuke convention will be a false show of unity with nothing as inspiring as what we have in our corner.

have anyone even CLOSE to the kind of lineup we have.
You know the funny thing? I know tons of dems and reps. The Dems I know are not missing a single minute (taping) the entire Dem convention. The reps I know aren't even interested in watching their OWN damn convention.
Who's more fired up? Say it! Say it!

However, they do have Rod "The NEA is a terrorist organization" Paige.
The only speech really worth watching might be John McCain- then again it might be too sad, to see him up there supporting Bush.

Anyone catch the significance of Clinton's reference to "Talents"?
THAT will drive republicans INSANE!!
It is the foundation for their warped "God wants me to be a zillionaire and kcuf everyone else" ideology.
THAT is beating them over the head with their own mental views of the world.
EXCELLENT!

|
hee, hee
A little shallow of me there, but dammit it's true. Find me one charismatic, super-smart, hot-looking, naturally funny Republican on this planet - impossible! That is why they hate us Dems.
Oh, and we're on the right side of the issues too.
So there, you RW freaks!

20. Colin Powell used to be a fairly decent speaker |

before he joined Bush Inc. and lost his last measure of credibility. I heard him speak live about 10 years ago and was impressed with his intelligent demeanor then. Colin Powell has been an enormous disappointment to me.

The Corporate Media will spin it like this:
1) Popular governor Arnold S connects with both Republicans & Democrats and that is how he got elected. 2) America's Mayor Rudy Giuliani was one of our most inspiring figures from that tragic day of Sept 11. 3) The cameras will constantly pan to Colin Powell, Condi Rice, Rod Paige, Michelle Malkin, Al Gonzales, and the few other minorities there. 4) The Democrats only gave us Slick Willy Clinton, angry Al Gore and that millionaire trial lawyer John Edwards. 5) The Republicans are the party of inclusion and hope for minorities.

28. The media can spin it all they want. |

But Ahhnult doesn't inspire anyone--he is a cariacture of himself from Saturday Night Live. Maybe not to Californians, but he is to the rest of the country.
Former Mayor Giuliani is seen as taking the limelight away from their precious Bush on 9/11. Is there a camera he hasn't tried to get in front of since 9/11? Everyone's heard what he has to say a thousand times by now.
Colin Powell and Condi Rice are now exposed as liars and Condi was clearly asleep at the wheel pre-911. Who can forget her angrily telling the 9/11 Commission what the title of the PDB was entitled?
