Here's the 'big bomb' that the GOP slime machine intends to drop on Teresa

TERESA HEINZ UNEARTHED: 'I DON'T TRUST TED KENNEDY'; DEMOCRATS 'PUTRID'

A historic bombshell interview has surfaced of Teresa Heinz Kerry ripping Ted Kennedy and the Democrat political machine!

The interview is set for splashing at the BOSTON HERALD, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned, the newspaper which originally ran the session with a then Republican Teresa Heinz.

The candid flashback hits as both Teresa and "Bastard" Kennedy prepare to address the Democrat convention in Boston.

ABCNEWS's GOOD MORNING AMERICA plans to highlight the Teresa Heinz interview Tuesday....>>

Yawn.....same old smear & negativity campaign. People have lost their appetite for this crap and won't go for it. The positive and hopeful message of the Dems is so much better...and people are hungry for it! GOPers HAVE to be negative because they haven't got anything positive to sell or brag about. So they keep wallowing in the cesspool of their minds.

1. I have a confession to make
I was once a Republican, too. And I said a lot worse things about Ted Kennedy than that. We all can change. I used to be a hard core ditto head. When a liberal friend and I would talk politics he would accuse me of just repeating what Rush said. I denied it, but he was right. Looking back on it now it makes me sick to my stomache. But live and learn. We all can change.

3. Droopy, I think that is the single most importan Post I have seen in Quite
Some time.

THAT is inspirational.

I never thought I would hear a former Ditto-Head say that.

LISTEN to the message in that post, people. Let it ring out across the country.

We are only divided if we LET THEM MAKE US SO.

We CAN Think for ourselves.

We CAN make our own decisions.

We do not HAVE to be divided.

And like Big Dog said tonight, WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.

Whether we like it or not.

Democrats, Republicans, Greens, Liberals, Conservatives, ALL OF US.

This is OUR country.

Let's Take It BACK.

Droopy, I salute you. :)

8. Thank you kindly, TheWatcher
If it weren't for great people like the liberal friend I mentioned and like the people here on DU, I may not have made the transition.

9. Me too
One of these days I'm gonna write out a full confession but I used to be somewhere between a libertarian and a republican and I used to call Hillary all the same nasty names that you'd hear in a Scorcese movie. My father to this day is an ultra conservative minus the religious stuff.

Lots of things changed me, but all I can say is I am no longer a stumper for that crooked disgusting party.

11. I am impressed!! It takes a big person with a lot of character to be
so candid about something they are ashamed of or regret.

23. Same here...
I was a repuke around the same time as Heinz-Kerry and I said the most hateful things about Ted Kennedy and other Democrats. :-( Smart open-minded people though can realize that they were wrong and make a change for the better (like former repukes who become Democrats), that's what brains are for. :-)

5. It matters because it shows she can grow from experience.
It matters because, when the Republicans attacked Max Cleland, she saw something she didn't like and did something about it: she changed her party registration.

It matters because, HALLELUJAH!, it means that being Republican isn't incurable.

7. It DOESN'T. This is NOISE. They are DESPERATE.
Hate, Fear, Distraction, Lies. It's ALL THEY'VE GOT LEFT.

We can easily counter this. Don't let it bother you.

They've got NOTHING, and they know it.

They are DONE.

After tonight, I am convinced if we do not allow them to get away with any illegal tampering or shennanigans, WE ARE GOING TO WIN.

6. The negative crap will backfire
I'll bet most of the repukes are seething after seeing or hearing about the dems good and positive night at the convention. The more they show their true colors the better it is for us. It's rather boring to me,but I'm glad they are presenting themselves as who they truly are. It's the same tired old worn out bu$hit. Nothing new. :boring:

12. They've given her a gift
She said she doesn't like being scripted, so here's her chance to speak from the heart. She should talk about what she was like then, her mindset when she made those comments, and how Cleland changed her. She could reach out to a large segment of Republicans who are sick of their party's bullshit but don't have the courage to jump.

I can't WAIT to hear her speech!

14. Exactly right! This is her big opportunity to be a witness for change.
Something many Republicans are considering themselves, no doubt!

Many have come before her, some prominent types authoring books, and being whistle-blowers. So Teresa has lots of company.

But I don't think anyone actually cares about this crap but a handful of hardcore freeper types who live on sewage.

13. Isn't it great when former republicans wake up and become Democrats?
Really, this just proves how far Teresa has come in her thinking.

I mean, there she was tearing down Dems years ago, and now she is at the Democratic Convention.

There will be many more former republicans voting Democrat this year.

Life is good.

That she was naive then, and she believed a lot of lies she was told, but she finally grew up and became a Democrat.

changed and what happened to cause her mindset to changet, and that's what she will say was her reason for leaving them.

17. "I saw the light"
I could get excited about that as a response. After all, it is one that the repukes and the fundies pull out of their war chest all the time. Think Jimmy Swaggart, sobbing his little heart out on TV. Think Jim and Tammy Baker.

If Theresa plays her cards right, this could seriously backfire on them.

by taking the bait. Tit for tat ain't where it's at.

The Dems need to do their positive message thing but also stay focused on substantive GOP crimes like Plame, Halliburton, etc.
And they need to go back to the recent 9/11 Whitewash report and the report put out by the Army on the Abu Ghraib findings. Now those are real issues.
