1. No. Satan runs that company.
I have a soul, so I wouldn't have invested. I just couldn't do it. Sorry. It may be stupid, but I do have ethical standards I try to abide by, and getting rich off of the murder of innocent people and a country's destruction just doesn't measure up.

2. at one point the stock was at 50 cents a share and now it is
averaging around 20 to 24 dollars a share......Many people have told me that wish they had invested in it. But once again it shows us how only a certain group gets in on these kinds of things.

5. Businessmen wink an awful lot.
The good ol' boy network is good at keeping things on the DL. Only a select few get actually solid tips. The rest of us get shots in the dark.

3. Me either. I have tried to invest in companies that don't
exploit. Although since I can mostly only buy Mutual Funds, I can't always make that kind of decision, although I have refused to buy any fund that carries tobacco companies and other gross offenders of humanity and the environment.

7. It really is cause the fund managers buy and sell so frequently.
Of course the way my holdings are today I'm thinking of cutting my losses, selling all and just putting my cash in the bank. There isn't that much left now since Bush has been in office.

If President Scheisskopf isn't removed next year I'm very pessimistic as to our prospects. :(

9. Nope...
... wouldn't (and didn't). War profiteering is just another way to sell your soul.

Cheers.

14. Never, but almost did in Worldcom...
last year when stock was cheap. My conscience wouldn't let me do it. Now they have been awarded a contract by the Bushies in Iraq. In the name of Wellstone and by the blood of all the innocent people slaughtered by the BFEE, I hope all those seeking to profit from from this war, and the misery of others around the world find their karma biting them in the ass, like a scene out of 'Jaws'.

18. I DID Invest in HAL...
Bought at about 35, subsequently it tanked to about 14 because of teh hangover of Cheney's mismanagement (asbestos liability), I lost money he made big bucks. Typical. Sold out at 20 just before Iraq war. although it was obvious Halliburton would profit I didn't want the blood money. Back up to about $24 now.

Invested in Worldcom too. Gack. Thankfully not a whole lot in either one of these.

My wife and I are starting to get disgusted with several of the companies we have stock in. Any suggestions for socially responsible corporations?

19. Nope.
And I sold my GE stock the day they decided to restrict free speech.Remember that one?)

There are a lot of socially responsible mutual funds which, strangely enough, seem to be doing better than the general market.Gotta go to bed, it's late, but will get a list tomorrow. Some won't invest in war-making industries, some are environmentally friendly, some no tobacco, some watch for fair labor standards in the affected country, some all of the aforementioned.

I would definitely be interested in supporting companies with conscience. I know it is hard to do because we all have money in banks in bed with the madness.

21. No way
I don't even do business with people that are annoying, let alone blood-sucking cretons. I would be filled with guilt every day. I would feel like a hypocrite every time I tried to say something against this war. Having to face my greedy self every time I saw a child blown to pieces. Gads. No thank you.

At first I thought cutting off business with annoying customers would cost me alot of money too, but nope. I discovered they cost me more in time than I was making in the first place.

Being ethical and true to yourself in your business dealings is the only way to go.
