Have you seen this shit in the NY Daily News?
Edited on Tue Jul-27-04 07:32 AM by Bleachers7
This was on the cover of the paper on LI. The city paper had Bill and Hillary. After all the things that happened at the convention, including the last President and the sates Senator speaking, this makes the cover. What a fucking joke. :puke:

1. i can't fault them for that
it's a hilarous photo. Whoever suggested to Kerry that he don that suit should be slapped across the face with a wet newspaper.

2. Ugh. Fucking media.
And they wonder why Americans don't know enough about the issues.

Meanwhile... what the fuck was Kerry thinking doing a photo-op in that stupid fucking suit. He should have known this is what would happen.

4. Woodruff, Hemmer and Blitzer actually Devoted TIME to this
What pissed me off was Blitzer and company actually talking about this "photo op" and comparing it to the one where Mondale (or was it Dukakis) wore the army outfit and drove around in a tank.

The guy was doing a private tour of a STERILE facility, for fuck's sake...

These same whore media personalities probably creamed their collective panties over Chimpy McWarHardon prancing on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier in his flight suit.

6. They were talking about this picture on CNN last night. This WAS NOT
a campaign picture. There were no PRESS CRITTERS THERE. This was taken by somebody at NASA and leaked as fast as possible. How can it be that they have REPUGS at NASA? anybody associated with science should be up in arms against Bush.
Or maybe they thought this was a GOOD picture because it showed that he can get down to the nitty gritty when it is needed?

9. Its the Republican 'war room" thats been all over this
they mentioned it on CNN..a bunch of little college boys in a room pushing out anti-Kerry photo ops. The RNC. I saw the little buggers on CNN promo-ing this pic. Every damned one of the college boys looked like the perfect age to ENLIST AND GO OVER TO IRAQ.
I wish I knew where the RNC war room was, I would go there and hand those priveledged little brats enlistment forms.
Nothing more tiresome then 18-35 year old white males sitting in air conditioned offices trying to get Bush elected while my kid is standing in Iraq in 120 degree heat with an 80 pound vest on his back eating MRE's and wishing he were home.
And the only reason he is standing there is to shore up short term profits for the Republican kid's daddies who are all CEOs who have lucrative contracts in Iraq.
Chickenhawks=RNC
Enlist them, let them put their money where their mouth is.

Those neocon twerps would shit their pants in a fire fight. Maybe it's a good thing that they're not out in the field.

I wish your son all the best. It's the government that's put him in harm's way that needs a spanking.

24. I saw that report, too.
You're absolutely right. A bunch of yuppie college kids cutting-and-pasting like mad.

As soon as that Kerry-in-a-Shuttle-Bunny photo came out, they had cut-and-pasted it right next to the infamous photo of Dukakis in the tank, and fax-blasted it to all ends of the earth.

See? CNN isn't even ashamed to show you their sources. That's how lazy and pathetic it's gotten.

12. Who Cares?
Issues will remain the focus of this campaign. We aren't coming off 8 years of peace and prosperity like Clinton's presidency. People need to keep pushing issues. Photos like this shouldn't matter for any election, and aren't going to decide this one. Quit panicking. They are desperate and the attacks will get worse.

People who make fun of sterile-environment gear are just plain pig ignorant!

Let's send them all into level 4 Bio Hazard labs and watch what happens!

16. How f'n stupid
Dukakis lost because he did not seem presidential. Kerry does not need to be seen dressing up like Spaceman Rex from the Planet Tomorrow. It looks childish. Whoever convinced him to put on that costume and prance about should be shot.

disrespecting all Americans who wear similar outfits each day.
I have to believe they would stoop so low as to make fun of medical workers.
These people are like very small minded children.

25. BE PROUD!
Gee. It's only a photo of our horse at the Kennedy Space Center. The pukes WISH they had a candidate who had a brain that could comprehend what the place is about -- from where mankind embarked upon our journey to the moon and beyond, a program started by a Democratic President and one which still benefits America and humanity today.

BTW: Their crazy monkey was "governor" of Texas and never once visited the Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston (that he can remember).

26. I don't see the problem with Kerry
suiting up in sterile gear. You know what it shows me and I'm a person that has worked hard all my damn life that Kerry isn't above seeing what it's like to do what the rest of us have to do everyday.
Abide by safety rules such as wearing our hard hats and safety glasses it also shows me he's really interested in NASA Science!

People that see from the ground up understand much better what the workings are when they get their 'hands dirty' and I'd have more respect for 'the suites' if they did this.
I applaud Kerry for trying to understand what it's like by doing this he can start to understand better what their situation is from the ground up.

It also tells me that this is a person that gives a damn and isn't above doing what the rest of us do day in and day out!

This photo of Kerry is an example of what not being divided is.
Clinton said, "Republicans Need us to be divided" this pictures doesn't make me (a working person) feel divided from Kerry.

Hey to Republicans spin again come back to we the people when you want to talk about the issues instead of trying to divide us against one another! We are the party that wants to lift all boats not just yachts!
