Favorite sound bite from Monday?
So many to choose from...

"You can't be a war president one day and a peace president the next."

"John Kerry SHOWED UP."

"We can't jail, kill, or occupy all our potential adversaries." (THANK YOU!)

"I never would have thought that I would be so well cared for by the Republican Party."

And yours?

C ya,

The Plaid Adder

3. "A serious man for a serious time" - HRC, speaking of JFK
Edited on Tue Jul-27-04 09:52 AM by yellowcanine
on Edit - this one has the charm of the other "bites" mentioned - it highlights Kerry's strength while pointing out a flaw in Bush. Who, except a diehard neocon, would maintain that Bush is a serious man? This one will sting and will score with the swing voters.

5. That's a good one--has that evangelical ring to it
without actually shoving God in your face.

6. Hillary mentioning how the 09/11 families pushed for the commission.
Great, great point. Reminded all of us how Bush and the cabal resisted the 09/11 commission from the very beginning.

8. "They NEED a divided country..... We don't"
Gingrinch pushes for the use of wedge issues. Divisiveness is the coin of the realm with these thugs.

10. This one rang with me.
I think some of the others will become classics, but I'm reading "What's The Matter With Kansas" by Thomas Frank, and his whole premise is that the RW's survival depends on a "two Americas" strategy.

We, on the other hand, have one big tent. And it's a party tent.

Woooo-hoooo!!!...

9. "Strength and wisdom are not opposing values."
"Send John Kerry"

and not as sound-bitey (length)

"Since we're all in the same boat, we should choose a captain of our ship who is a brave good man, who knows how to steer a vessel through troubled waters, to the calm seas and the clear sides of our more perfect union."
