they didn't have anything ready for 11, hence the repeat. I suspect they'll be back tonight.

He was so genuine and REAL with his endorsement of Kerry. Our mouths dropped wide open for 5 minutes.
The elites have turned on the Neocons. Their house of cards is crumbling.

His interview was by Brokaw and Russert...usually the heavies saved for a the big names. The second tier get Tweety and the lower ones Scarborough.
Stewart was treated not like a comic as much as a commentator on popular culture...which is what the Daily Show is really about, and you could see both men know Stewart has a special audience...one MSNBC, in specific, would love to have.
I sense we're starting to see a turning of the worm here on a couple fronts. The pundits now take The Daily Show seriously...a far cry from the show got in 2000...combine that with the big money F911 has made, Letterman's rising numbers and Howard Stern's and my marketing radar says there are focus group reports sitting on NBC executive desks with lots of question marks all over it.
Even Larry King has Mo Rocca trying to be funny running around the convention. Yawn.
On Edit: TDS goes live tonight from Boston...I expect some very funny stuff up ahead. The thought of Colbert & company loose there will almost be as much fun as when they really go to town in late August.
Also, doesn't Bill Mahrer return this week? Summer viewing just gets better and better.

14. TDS is being treated as "real" news... |
|
They've been nominated for several awards in the same categories as shows like 60 minutes and Nightline.
They Kerry/Edwards campaign would do quite well to put a person on TDS watching duty. Jon and crew may be comedians but their commentary is the real deal.
