Teresa's "Shove it" target admits he is "proud member of vast right-wing
conspiracy". Colin McNickles was the editorial writer from the Pittsburgh Tribune Review to whom Teresa's "shove it" comment was directed. What the "liberal media" like CNN, who have played this clip non-stop, don't tell you is that Mr. McNickles is an unabashed right-wing attack dog. Read his own words when describing liberals:

As with fools, I don't suffer liberals gladly. I'm a proud member of the vast right-wing conspiracy. If not a founding member, I'm at least a charter member and darn proud of it. And I, too, find myself continually shaking my head over the Styrofoam-for-brains liberals and ``their'' media.

All who enter my office are reminded of my persuasion when they leave. It's so chilling that some even here don't linger very long.

My ``sustaining membership'' card for 2002 from the Republican National Committee, taped to the wall, is one far-from-tacit notandum. (Down boys and girls; no money exchanged hands for this honorific.)

The Tribune Review is the newsprint equivalent of FOX news.

2. Not that this Kinder and Gentler Nazi Monster's confession will matter a
whit to Corporate TV Pravda, nor will his proud admission be replayed where more than 1,000,000 people can see it, though they need to see more of these Monsters in candid moments.

3. I read today that this paper is owned by Scaife
of Arkansas Project fame. I also believe this paper has been a pain to Teresa since she was married to John Heinz.

But we'll never hear about that from the media whores...oh no.

send the little snot an enlistment form. Watch him run like hell. Put him on the front lines, and fast. They can bring my stepson home, and replace him with this guy.
Makes sense to me!

10. Mr. McNickles also threatened to sue a local liberal talk show host
Lynn Cullen.

Lynn was so outraged by remarks he made about Katherine Graham (the late owner of the Washington Post) that Lynn made the remark that if he were there in front of her that she would punch him. I guess that Mr. McNickles had implied that Mrs. Graham had somehow engineered her husband's death so that she could take control of the Post.

12. THK said this morning on the Today Show that she didn't know who he was.
She was just trying to correct his use of the term "un-American activities" because that's not what she said and she was afraid it would be misconstrued.

I did note that Katie Couric did not refer to him as a "reporter" but as an "editorial editor," I believe.

18. Un-American activities versus
un-American traits ..... seems she was regretting the un-American part.

This is her free one - if she consistently gets confrontational or even snippy she can tube the election herself -remember it's not the choir, it's airhead undecideds that need to come K & E's way.

21. "Un-American activities" sounds too much like the
House Committee on Un-American Activities of the 50's -- the anti-Communist committee featuring Senator Joseph McCarthy. I think that's why the comment struck a nerve.

I hope she says whatever she feels like saying. She seems like an intelligent woman and I trust her judgment.

That catty slime ball really gets to me lately.
What is with her?
She was so condescending when she spoke to Teresa this morning. I saw her all smiles at the Baseball game on TV Sunday. They said that she was sitting with the Kerry family.

With friends like Cattie Katie they don't need any enemies.

15. Teresa should have asked the reporter about the dead guy
in his boss's building restroom.

Travelled all the way from Nevada (with a gun!) to commit suicide in his hated enemy's bathroom. Sounds suspicious to me. Yet the police allowed internal security to "investigate" it.

26. "Outfoxed" was a step in the right direction...
..however, I think there needs to be a LARGE SCALE effort to define objective journalism in this country, again. The corporatization of the media, and the conglomeration of everything, has produced so many hybrid media types. There should be some sort of system for identifying non-objective journalism (okay, that's an oxymoron). That man is not a reporter, he's a columnist. TRUE reporters/journalists REPORT AND JOURNAL events as they happen, NO SPIN, NO ADJECTIVES, NO COMMENTARY. The distinctions need to be made clearly... The mainstream media is doing a disservice to America by not reporting the REAL story behind this story.. that the man is a self-professed partisan attack dog. He is not an innocent journalist being abused by a future First-Lady. He provoked this.. once the Scaife Mellon's of the world see a weakness (or a perceived weakness), they will exploit it. Can our free press be saved???

28. I sent this letter to Aaron Brown
Over the past several days, CNN has played the clip of Teresa Heinz Kerry's "shove it" remark ad nauseam. It is sad that CNN and all of the other networks did not investigate Mr. McNickles a little before portraying him as the injured party.

His politics are rabidly right wing. Here are some of his views:

"As with fools, I don't suffer liberals gladly. I'm a proud member of the vast right-wing conspiracy. If not a founding member, I'm at least a charter member and darn proud of it. And I, too, find myself continually shaking my head over the Styrofoam-for-brains liberals and ``their'' media.

My ``sustaining membership'' card for 2002 from the Republican National Committee, taped to the wall, is one far-from-tacit notandum. (Down boys and girls; no money exchanged hands for this honorific.) "

http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/search/s_8526.html

Mr. McNickles also raised quite a ruckus here in Pittsburgh, when after the death of Katherine Graham, the late owner of the Washington Post, he implied that she had somehow engineered her husband's demise so that she could grab control of the Post.

Anyone who had done ANY investigative reporting into Mr McNickles would realize that he intentionally baited Mrs. Kerry for partisan purposes. But this is not reported.
