We should be protesting in front of CNN! |
|
The only way they will pay attention is if we block their buildings and shut them down until the provide fair coverage. We're not asking for pro-Kerry. We are just asking that they not be pro-Bush during our convention. Kerry can stand up quite well to fair and balanced coverage. http://www.mediachannel.org/views/dissector/affalert235.shtmlhttp://www.boston.com/news/politics/conventions/articles/2004/07/26/pbs_anchor_chides_big_3_networks_as_shirking_convention_duty/http://tinyurl.com/5xtkqhttp://www.ariannaonline.com/columns/column.php?id=723http://www.southerner.net/blog/weeklyblog035.htmlThese are all straight off today's Democrats.com mailout. We won't win if Kerry has to overcome such blatant pro-Bush advertising from the media. THAT's our biggest challenge.

3. I'd rather do something in time for this election |
|
I doubt we'd change CNN much, but just drawing attention to their bias would make people watch for that bias more closely, and might start to swing the whole "media is liberally biased" sentiment the other way.
I'd love to see MoveOn or someone organize another huge march, this time in front of CNN, the NYT, and the WP.

4. I do ignore it most of the time, but I don't think that will help. |

CNN, MSNBC, and of course, FAUX have their marching orders straight from the WH. They will not divert from those orders. Why? I haven't a clue. I think picketing may be the way to start. Maybe if their advertisers see that they will look into matters. Money matters, that is. It is the bottom line with advertisers. It is a national disgrace the way the so-called pundits twist things, but maybe the public doesn't buy it. We don't. They are so blatant about it it is almost comical.

They are owned by major corporations who get more money from Bush's tax breaks than they would make by good journalism.
Bottom-line mentality has no concern for morality.
