Clueless in Buffalo -Check out this pukefest of a LTTE
Draft talk is useless when nukes will suffice

7/27/2004
Talk of a draft is insanity. There should never be a draft again. The U.S. military could take out any place in the world at anytime with a stealth bomber and a nuclear bomb. It works. Heard of any military trouble with Japan over the last 59 years?

Why should our sons and daughters have to die to protect the lives of those who hate us? By using troops instead of nukes, we are sacrificing our young men and women while preserving the lives of those who would rather see us and our way of life dead! How does this make any sense?

3. Yeah! A lot of mercury and who knows what else!
I grew up in Tonawanda. Not even 5 miles away there's a waste dump, a few of my friends lived just over the thruway from it. Recently, I found out that there a high rates of MS and various cancers in the area. It could very well be something in the water... F***in' scary.

11. Maybe from all the carcinogens in the smoke from the house fires...
Sorry, bad Irv Weinstein joke. Watching Buffalo news from Toronto, Irv always seemed to lead with "Fire in North Tonawanda" :)

5. Timothy McVeigh grew up closer to Lockport...
not Tonawanda. FWIW, Tonawanda produced an Astronaut, Leslie "Wolf" Blitzer and the big fat guy on 'Mad TV'.

6. McVeigh was from Pendleton
I'm doing time in Buffalo as a grad student at UB currently. I wouldn't take anything in the Buffalo News too seriously. The only time I ever pick up that rag is to do a crossword puzzle.

10. Hmm, Japan was, by their unconditional surrender, forbidden
from having a military, right?

So, once their country was rebuilt, they were only able to concentrate on their economy, right?

So, their economy was doing quite well there for quite some time, right?

Some Right-thinking person forgot that we were at an economic war against the Japanese a few years back. In the Reagan era, RIGHT?

Somehow, they weren't quiet then.
