Moore: I’ve always felt kinda sorry for Pres. Bush
snip>
Moore on Vice President Dick Cheney:

MOORE: “... seems like a decent guy. He’s got a gay daughter,” So, hey that’s good, you know? You gotta give him credit for that, for raising a lesbian. I mean, I’ve never raised a lesbian. I’d love to raise a lesbian. So God bless him for that!”

Moore on President Bush (while standing in front of a cardboard cutout of the President):

REAGAN: What would you like to say to him?

MOORE: Honestly, I’ve always felt kinda sorry for him. I’ve never felt that he ever really wanted this job, or any job... and the slacker in me appreciates that. And, I think honestly, secretly, he can’t wait until November third, the day after the election, when he can go back to living the life that he had. And, I’m all for that. As I show in the movie, there are good parts to him. He’s very good to his dogs. He’s a good man to his dogs and he seems to have raised two very lovely daughters and we wish him well after November.

His words just lighten my heart.

2. Moore's Just Being Nice

Honestly, I really think deep down Bush is a spiteful, hateful, shallow, jealous person. He resents people who are smarter and more hard-working. He's feels entitled to everything because he's a spoiled, elitist douchebag. He honestly thinks he's better than everyone because he's a "Bush" and that god has chosen him to do what he does. He's lazy, incompetent and proud of it. He believes in god, not because he has faith, but because he's lazy and faith is easier than thinking and hard work.

Bottom line is he's an awful, disgusting human being, w/ no sense of decency or work ethic. He's selfish, greedy and has not an ounce of compassion for anyone who's not like him or one his own, whatever that is.

3. Agreed...
what is it with respectable liberals giving monkey boy a pass on his evil personality anyway? (Moore, Ivins, etc...)

4. I sort of agree that he secretly doesn't want to be re-elected, but
I also think Bush loves the power and people sucking up to him, like his demand, "isn't anyone going to say nice shot," comment. I think he enjoys playing the boy king. I think Bush is aware he is inept and deficient in many ways, that he is a loser deep down, but I think he's too much in denial to give a shit about retiring into obscurity. IN MY opinion! His ego is way too big.

6. I t hink he wants to win cause he doesn't want to be like
his ol' pappy with a one term(meaning ya did a real shitty job)residency. But it was very clever of Moore to say that he doesn't want to win..it's stickin' it to him real good.

5. Moore really does have a very funny side to him!
As well as that ability to make creative documentaries that show the world what really went down.

7. I agree with Moore re: Feeling a tad sorry for Bush.
I think he's a figurehead placed in that position by the real powers. He's smart enough to not hinder them handing him the job, but not smart enough to avoid having all the blame land in his lap should they need a patsy.

Not that I hold him blameless. He's put his name on things anyone with even half a brain should know are horrible and/or in violation of the constitution. I just don't think he's a real player in the power choices.

8. he really doesn't want the job anymore...his knees (his supports)
are giving out....it's a symbolic statement of his inner desires.

he even said..."I can't run anymore"

karma comes to call!

10. I agree. He seems miserable.
He was probably thinking his power would be without limits and unquestioned. Finding it's not so made sucked the fun right of of being President for him. He'd be happier if he retired to his ranch to beat up on the local foliage.

9. Lesbian quote
"MOORE: “... seems like a decent guy. He’s got a gay daughter,” So, hey that’s good, you know? You gotta give him credit for that, for raising a lesbian. I mean, I’ve never raised a lesbian. I’d love to raise a lesbian. So God bless him for that!”"

That's hilarious and is complete open mockery of the idea that it is a 'learned' behavior. If it is learned, then Cheney really screwed the pooch on raising his daughter. Of course it is not learned, so it's high mockery of one of the stupidest concepts the Republicans often advocate.
