You know it would seem to me that the amount of media coverage
given in one day to Theresa Heinz Kerry's "shove it" comment is much more coverage than we have seen in five years (I'm including the year leading up to the 2000 presidential election) about Laura Bush's accident that resulted in the death of her boyfriend in the 1960s. Which I think is much more serious

It also seems to me that there has been much more media coverage of Theresa Heinz Kerry's "shove it" comment than there was about Dick Cheney's comments to Senator Leahy on the Senate floor.

And they try to tell us of the existence of a "liberal" media

1. All that exists in Imperial Amerika anymore is Totalitarian Media
closer to Communist Chinese Media than the medi at the post WWII height of the Old American Republic.

2. Don't you remember how they gushed about that intimate poem Bush*
wrote to her calling her "That Lump In the Bed" Oh wait they said later that he really didn't write the poem. Who did write about her being "That Lump in the Bed"? First the huge LIE that Bush* wrote a romantic poem. They gushed and gushed and then a month later on a national TV show Laura admitted Bush* did not write her any poem and leave it on her pillow as they first said.

4. not to be an asshole, but
Teresa's comment got a lot of press on Monday because *it happened on Sunday.* Pickles' accident was 40 years ago. They'll stop talking about the comment in a day or two.

The coverage of her comment isn't so much because of some vast right-wing conspiracy in the media. It's because the people who make these decisions have a misguided sense of what sells.
