3. Suckers? Are you kiddin'? They're GENIOUSESESS! |

After all, for every buck they put into the Fed, the parasitic f*ckers get back about $1.25 while true BLUE staters get back about $0.75 for every buck they contribute to BushCo.
Is that a DEAL or what? I'd love to get in on that action but I'm too busy being a net tax PAYER.
The most common thing I hear from Red Staters For Bush types is "I don't get jack sh*t out of gummint, so I want my taxes to be zero!".
Dude, you don't want to LIVE in a world without taxes and services. They just take everything for granted. They think things would improve and the US would be utopia, not Mogadishu circa 1992.

not all of it makes it down to the general population ... like the farms get their handouts from Uncle Sam, but most of it go to those large corporate farms that are driving those smaller farms and ranchers out

4. This whole phony red state/blue state meme ignores one overriding reality. |

Things change. People change their minds, people move. Just because I thought one way yesterday, last year, or four years ago, does not mean that subsequent events will have no affect on what I think today.
You other folks like me in red states -- I bet you know lots of folks who voted for Bush who won't be doing so again this year - do you know ANYONE who voted for Gore who is voting for Bush????

a single person who voted for Gore in 2000 who is voting for * in 2004. And I ask. A lot.
I'm in Texas. I've made that same point before...as far as I can see, he's only LOST voters, not gained them. Some have stayed the same, but he's hemorraging votes here.

This same guy underwent a complete change in personality following 9-11. He did not become a "kill 'em all" type. He become more of a "please, please don't hurt me" type. He may not be the biggest coward I have ever encountered, but he is darned close.
He just wants all the bad guys to go away, and believes Bush when he says he will make them go away.
That said, I know LOTS of 2000 Bush voters who say they won't vote for Bush this time around.

I don't have any statistics but...Republican-supported outsourcing to Mexico, India, China, etc. has got to be killing a lot of the small- to medium-sized companies in rural America that make it possible for people to survive there economically.
