Yesterday I heard a RW'er college student introduce an insane right winger as a "Pie" Beta Kappa graduate, with a PhD from "Brandy's" University, and then introduced her as "Mrs" rather than "Doctor". That last one was probably intentional, but the first two ... oh, boy.

My TV boyfriend from The O.C. just said something along the lines of, he's from Texas, knows little about foreign policy, etc. but you'd be surprised at how far you can rise in this country with those qualifications!

He made a good appeal to young activists telling them to get the word out among their friends about how important this election is. It was great!

I loved him before because he was cute but I had no idea he was a liberal too. Sweet! :loveya:

88. You got that right! LOL
Late last night (after yesterdays events in boston) on liberal radio a caller called in and told the host she thought the convention last night was like a "Revival". BINGO!

That is exactly the underlying feeling I'm gettin' from this thing, in more than one respect. The RW "religionists" don't got it, we do. :D No disprespect to Atheists.

The other thing I feel, it's my personal feeling and I hope I'm not out of line, I rather sense that black Americans, among other ethnic groups, are the strong backbone of this country. I kinda feel like, in many ways, they've "saved our social, moral, and ethical bacon" . I love them deeply.

I am humbled. PEACE~~

80. Signed off in Spanish not Japanese, what a surpise!
Sometimes when I read what right-wingers say about liberals, they'd love to have us rounded up and put away.

92. I saw him in person about 6 weeks ago
He talked about the religious left there too as did Rev. Jackson. It was wonderful and there are several organizations starting up to speak for the religious left and fight the creeping mobilization of the right wing against our religious and secular freedoms.

I'm not a Christian but I appreciate his sentiments. We are all in this together.

Glad to see the Dems really hammering this point home.

Edited on Tue Jul-27-04 06:56 PM by Chovexani
Sung by two American Indians via sateillite in traditional language, I didn't catch the name of the tribe.

Very moving.

On edit: members of Tohono Oo'dham (sp?) Nation. They were great!
