Al Jazeera's Report from last night's Democratic Convention...

Though frail, the 80-year-old Carter was vocal in criticising President Bush.

"Truth is the foundation of our global leadership, but our credibility has been shattered and we are left increasingly isolated and vulnerable in a hostile world," Carter said.

"Without truth, without trust, America cannot flourish."

Bush's decision to launch a war in Iraq came in for a special roasting. Carter said the United States "cannot lead if our leaders mislead" and said Bush's agenda had polarised the country.

2. Compare them to Faux
I'd trust stuff from their English website long before I'd trust anything on Faux. Case in point: last week Faux trumpeted that a Turkish container ship had a bomb aboard and had been towed out to sea off the coast of Delaware. No other news service reported this, not even CNN. 90 minutes later, they had to print a retraction, that the Turkish captain had JOKED about a bomb being aborad. No news service picked that up, either.

Those jerks not only lie to people, they misreport events and sensationalize them to keep their poor deluded viewers in a state of panic.

If I were restricted to only one outrageously biased news source for all my information, I'd probably pick Al-Jazeera over Faux. Some of their stuff is true.
