Cheney" Terror attacks don't happen b/c use of force-but by "perception |
|
of weakness" !!
Kind of like rape happens b/c of that pretty, short, dress you're wearing? So, that little old lady was robbed b/c she was carrying her S.S. check on the 1st of the month?
"Perception of weakness"! What's "Dick" trying to communicate here?
Am I over-reacting?

1. white men's insecurity |

perceived weakness. That's what they think everything is all about. False bravado. That's why they want guns. That's why they hate gays. That's why they want women to be weak, to feed that strong male image egos. That's why we have a $500 billion defense budget. That's why they don't want social programs, they don't want to admit they'd ever need them. The whole difference between Dems and Pubs... men who are afraid that perceived weakness will destroy them.

that we invaded Iraq because we wanted to be perceived as strong. Yet another in a long line of "Why did we invade Iraq again?" excuses.
So we HAD to invade somewhere (where there were good targets!) after 9/11, to not invade would be to appear weak.
So what he is saying is that Iraq was the country of convenience for our need to appear strong to terrorists.
I'm serious... I really think that is what he was saying.

6. So, does Cheney think Israel is perceived as weak? |
|
If not, (and I don't think he would call Israel weak), then why is Israel still subject to hundreds of bombings and attacks?
Cheney is just stirring up more fear in the male population, seeing if some more saber-rattling will make them give up more freedoms and quit asking hard questions about jobs, Social Security, etc.

Osama "perceived" The Bush Administration was weak and attacked |
|
Apparently he was correct, because busha nd co. failed to go after and capture or kill Osama for his attack on America. Instead, bush and Co decided to attack iraq After our installed President in Afghanistan signed a pipeline deal.
just when troops could have captured or killed Osama in Tora Bora, we let him escape and then Bush called Osama irrelevent and was marginalized.
now Bush is threatening to cancel elections because this "marginalized and irrelevent" mastermind is planning a November terror attack!
I can see how Osama would prefer Bush as president, he succeeded in his first attack on America and got away with mass murder.
