Moore creams O'Reilly! Transcript of tonight's interview.....
Edited on Tue Jul-27-04 04:43 PM by charlie105
This is a beauty. Don't miss it folks. Even though it's on Faux:

From the almighty Drudge :

snip....

M: Are you against that? Stopping this war?

O: No we cannot leave Iraq right now, we have to—

M: So you would sacrifice your child to secure Fallujah? I want to hear you say that.

O: I would sacrifice myself—

M: Your child—Its Bush sending the children there.

O: I would sacrifice myself.

M: You and I don’t go to war, because we’re too old—

O: Because if we back down, there will be more deaths and you know it.

M: Say ‘I Bill O’Reilly would sacrifice my child to secure Fallujah’

O: I’m not going to say what you say, you’re a, that’s ridiculous

M: You don’t believe that. Why should Bush sacrifice the children of people across America for this?

end snip...

3. O'Reilly's gonna be fuming at Drudge now...
and with good reason, he just sabotaged his big ratings w/ Moore. That's a lawsuit I'd like to see O'Reilly Vs. Drudge copyright infringement.

14. Drudge hates O'Reilly.... it's been going on a long time....
Maybe someone here can remember the details, but something about radio related rivalry, I think...

5. Oops, getting personal
Yeah, sure O'Reilly would go himself. That's why he's got his overpampered butt securely planted in a Faux studio for the duration.

But talk about him sending his own kid? Well, then you're just "ridiculous." If this "war" is so important that we have to send poor kids from Flint to fight and die in it, why isn't it important enough so that the fruit of Bill O'Reilly's loins should fight it? Doesn't the military deserve the very best? Or is O'Reilly saying his kids are worthless Cheney-ups?

9. Moore should have pushed a little harder...
On the fact that Bush cherry-picked intelligence and his administration wanted to go to war even before they took office. They manipulated intelligence, pure and simple. You could read international media in the buildup to the war that questioned all the WMD claims rather vociferously.

30. Moore should....
Edited on Tue Jul-27-04 06:12 PM by dennis4868
have said the following when O'Reilly said that Bush was given bad intelligence:

The following was said By Bush in the run up to the war and all of which is not supported by any National Intelligence Report or any other intelligence agency:

1. Massive stockpile of biological weapons

2. Nuclear weapons program and could have a nuclear wepon any day

3. Unmanned aerial vehicle that can carry WMD to the USA

4. Saddam/911/al qaeda connection

5. Saddam wants to give his WMD to terrorist

6. Saddam will use his WMD against the USA

If none of this was supported by the CIA or any other intelligence agency then how can O'Reilly say that Bush was misinformed by the CIA?

Why can't a dem stand up and say this and put to rest this myth that Bush did not lie and was instead misled by the CIA?

11. Moore knows how to handle these things.
He takes one idea to illustrate the lie, and then he holds the moron's feet to the fire until they crack.

THEN he moves on to a new point.

16. Whoa.
...

O: What do I say to their parents?  I say what every patriotic American would say. We are proud of your sons and daughters.  They answered the call that their country gave them.  We respect them and we feel terrible that they were killed.

M: And, but what were they killed for?

O: They were removing a brutal dictator who himself killed hundreds of thousands of people

M: Um, but that was not the reason that was given to them to go to war, to remove a brutal dictator

O: Well we’re back to the weapons of mass destruction

M: But that was the reason

O: The weapons of mass destruction

M: That we were told we were under some sort of imminent threat

O: That’s right

M: And there was no threat, was there?

O: It was a mistake

M: Oh, just a mistake, and that’s what you tell all the parents with a deceased child, “We’re sorry.”  I don’t think that is good enough.

O: I don’t think its good enough either for those parents

M: So we agree on that

22. A Big Huge Fact That O'Reilly Keeps Omitting
We had weapons inspectors on the ground going every where in that nation looking for WMDs, and they couldn't find anything. Why didn't Bush let the inspectors finish their jobs BEFORE he invaded?

O'Lielly will figure a way to spin it his way and get his O'Lielly-ites to boycott something... But this will be fun watching Bill squirm and hem and haw, veins popping out all over his head before he just blows and screams "YOU KNOW IT"S TRUE SO SHUT UP"...
