So what do you suppose was up Hillary's butt tonight?
Just watched Ted Kennedy's speech on C-SPAN. Anyone else catch Hillary looking very much like she was not amused. WTF?

41. Did security really allow Annthrax in the "ladies" room?
It should really have its own litter box.

13. I meant "amused" as a figure of speech...not literally.
Edited on Tue Jul-27-04 07:56 PM by KzooDem
When I saw her on the cut-aways, she looked like she was pissed off about something. If you all saw her smiling and laughing, I believe you. My intent of my post was to see if anyone else saw the same thing I did.

to claim to 'know' that she has specific feelings from a quick TV camera shot ....

Perhaps someone stood on her toe ? ...

Perhaps she lost her car keys ? ...

Careful ...

I wasn't implying anything "sinister." Just thought she looked annoyed. I love the woman...not trying to bash her or anything.

Just curious if anybody else picked up on it or not. Period.

14. Now, I'm not going to rip Hillary ...
Edited on Tue Jul-27-04 07:54 PM by gauguin57
... but she really does have to look more enthusiastic when there's such a good chance the camera will be on her. I saw her once at the end of Ted's speech and she was doing the "big heavy sigh and tepid clap" routine.

Don't flame me ... you know I love Hillary. ... but they keep printing pictures of her falling asleep or rolling her eyes at very inopportune times. I'm sure she's tired (I'm sure she and Bill have been up all night schmoozing with the faithful!!!) ... but the convention's only four days long ... and she won't be there all the time. She just needs to remember that the camera will seek her out at her most bored ... and not give anyone any ammunition.

Frankly, the same goes for the delegates. I'm sick of the camera panning over people chattering away, not paying attention, wandering around or looking bored when our big Dems are speaking -- people wandering around and smiling behind the ministers WHILE THEY'RE doing the benedictions ... it just doesn't look good. We've got a great convention here ... let's show the country how we feel about it!

Not that anyone is seeing any of this unless they're watching C-Span!

18. I heard an interview with Barak Obama today
the interviewer was asking if he was nervous about giving the keynote. He is but said being at the convention last night taught him that few are listening. He could say anything at all.

17. That's a loaded question, begging for a sarcastic response
but I will not fall to temptation.

I can't remember when it was last night, but they cut to her when someone else was speaking and she had a really weird expression on her face. Really I think she was probably reacting to someting other than Ted's speech.

20. So, like she is supposed to be Mrs. Perky 24/7?
Maybe she was tired, had a headache, saw Monica, or the crab cakes she ate at the party last night were causing some discomfort. Imagine a camera being on you, or any of us 24/7... I'm sure we all would have some not so pretty moments...

25. Love Hillary.. but she does look bored or tired tonight..
..I have a feeling she's just tired. It's unfortunate that they keep panning to her when she's looking as though she'd rather be anywhere else. But.. who really knows what's going on with someone when we look at them, she could be sick, or tired, or worried about something.

26. You'll have to excuse some of us Clinton fans.
We're just jumpy because of all the freeping going on of late. I know you didn't mean anything (hint your post count). Also, I think if you wouldn't have put WTF at the end of your post, you wouldn't have received some of the responses you did. I haven't watched any of it tonight but it just goes to show that when Hillary smiles, the whole world smiles. When she frowns, the whole world frowns too. She just look better when she smiles.:-)

28. Dang you all, ease up already.
Hillary carries a hell of a lot of water for this party. She was sharing what appeared to be a glass of champagne with Chelsea and looks completely wiped out. She was probably in bed at 1am and up by 6am. These are long four days. AND she still has a day job to stay on top of, even though recess basically started this week.

after she said women can be looked at as smart as men. She wasn't smiling very much. But I really think she doesn't want to smile all the time. She's trying to keep the smile lines from appearing.
