10. Annie gives Daddy War-bucks the Dickens.
OH, YEAH! I used the Time Out technique, and my daughter vouches for its effectiveness. She tells me now that when she sat half-way down the stairs and saw all the other kids playing through the door at the end of the stairway it gave her a great deal to think on!

9. Remember Jesse Jackson's "American Quilt" speech at the 1988
convention? That speech sent chills down my spine and left me in tears. I wasn't even a fan of Jesse at that time but the speech was magnificent and moving. Thats exactly the same way I felt tonight. Barack Obama gave me goosebumps. He is unbelievable and, yes, he makes me very proud to be a Democrat.

18. I was thinking of that speech tonight too!
I would have vote for Jesse, had he been on the ticket.

Thinking of Jesse Jackson back then brought back memories of my brother and me. Our discussions about what Jesse had to say, and how we both were supportive of him. I treasure those memories, because now look at my brother! He drank the kool aid a few years ago when he started watching the likes of the '700 Club'.

He believes everything they have to say. He is unbending, and I am now unAmerican, unpatriotic, a silly woman, a danger to American society, a bad mother to fill my son with Communistic ideas and for allowing my son to choose whether he has faith in God or not. It makes me so incredibly sad. <sigh>
