5. Eh, could we throw former First Lady Hillary in there? |
|
I think though they might all get along pretty well, comparing what the White House fish bowl is like.

you know why? Too many people would feel sorry for Laura and she'd come out the winner.
Same thing happened in 2000 in debates with Gore and bush, although just on the merits of the debate, Gore won. He sighed and rolled his eyes a lot and people felt sorry for boosh. How STUPID, eh?

Gore knew he had him beat, knew he was smarter than George sound asleep, and it showed, and people didn't like it.
Hopefully Kerry and Edwards can eat their prospective debaters for dinner and not go overboard.

11. Here's my take on a first lady debate |
|
Moderator (Mod): Ladies and gentlemen welcome to tonight's first ever first lady debate. Teresa Heinz Kerry (THK) is the wife of Democratic nominee Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts. Laura "Pickles" Bush (P) is the wife of President George W. Bush.
Mod: What are your thoughts on stem cell research?
P: I have no thoughts.
THK: This is an area of research that promises huge benefits to many people suffering from diseases and injury. The government needs to lead in this effort and support real science.
Mod: What are your thoughts about abortion?
P: I have no thoughts.
THK: Roe v. Wade has worked. The government should stay out of people's private lives. Let women and their doctors decide.
Mod: What are your thoughts on environmental protection?
P: I have no thoughts.
THK: The government has the duty to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment. Etc. Etc.
.... (more questions, same scenario) ....
Mod: Thank you. Ladies and gentlemen that ends tonight's debate.
The Press review: Pickles was absolutely stunning tonight in her chartreuse coat and black pants. She was so calm and poised during the debate, that the entire audience fell under her spell. Teresa Kerry, on the other hand, was harsh and stiff. She wore what looked like a Kmart pantsuit from 1990. Her heavy French accent offended the patriots in the audience. Her mean spirited answers were filled with hate for George W. Bush and for America. Pickles was the clear winner and reflects the true values of America.
