Brit Hume on Fox: All star panel next to analyze Teresa's speech. |
|
He called her speech "unusual" by anybody's standards. I didn't find it unusual at all, but then, I'm not intimidated by intelligent women.

21. If anyone is odd, I think it's Laura. |
|
She's like a robot, a wax statue. She creeps me out. Teresa is a /human being/. So of course the pundits hate her.

LIASSON: "It was a dissapointing showing for the Democrats after monday, with no one able to recapture Clinton's magic."
FRED BARNES: "I thought it was funny how the Democrat Party hid all their most embarassing speakers on a tuesday, when nobody is watching: Kennedy, Dean, and Theresa Heinz-Kerry. What are the Democrats afraid of? Is this the party they hid on Monday?"
KONDRACKE: "I think Fred is right, in that its hard to claim that you're not going to Bush-Bash when you have bombthrowers like Ted Kennedy on the stage."
KRISTOL: "I was really impressed with last night, I thought the Democrats hit a high note that sadly, won't be reached again. Tonight was a real dissapointment."
FRED BARNES: "Americans aren't ready for a billionaire loose cannon like Heinz Kerry."
HUME: "She sounds a little French, doesn't she. Up next: Shove It. Again. Fair and Balanced, this is Fox News."

watch them to see how the spin is going. They immediately compared Teresa and Hillary trying to get people to back away from Kerry because of getting "two Clinton's for one".
What a bunch of six Fucks.

18. "Hard sell" is the talking point |
|
Joe Scarborough was screeching about it on Hardball. Andrew Mitchell looked like she was disgusted with him.
He kept talking about stay-at=home moms in the Midwest not getting her. Well, I grew up in the Midwest and have a lot of relatives who still live there...and I can tell you the person the don't get is Laura Bush. What woman--unless she's part of an evangelical, husband-is-the-boss family--behaves the way LB does? She is nothing like my sister-in-law or anyone else in my family...or in their friends families and they're in the heart of one of the reddest states in the country!! They may not have the same accent as Teresa Heinz, but they have her spirit!

20. I thought they looked scared and stunned |
|
Teresa was brilliant. They were waiting, ready to pounce on anything the LEAST bit shrill that would shrivel the testicles of the average insecure RW'r. They didn't get anything they were drooling in anticipation for. Instead they got a magnificent, inspiring speech, full of patriotism, pride and hope. They were lost right from the beginning with the five languages. The quote from Lincoln sealed it for them. They had nothing. So it explains the bizarre and feeble attempts to "spin". Obama was the right hook, Teresa was the left, they are down for the count. A rough night for repugs, all in all.
