Teresa! What a woman.
How much older than John is Teresa? How much smarter than John is Teresa? How much more elegant than Laura is Teresa? How much more beautiful is the language from the tongue of Teresa than from the mangled mouth of the Chimp-in-Chief? The exotic Teresa exudes intellect and sex. She is my type. Just like Dr. DemoTex (who just arrived in Hawaii for the American Psychological Association convention), Teresa exudes those qualities.

4. She's a breath of fresh air
and will have to fumigate the WH. You KNOW that Pickles sat and watched every move and word that Teresa said just wishing she was a tenth as brilliant as Teresa. Can't you just see Pickles WISHING that she had the LOVE that Teresa's children have for her.

6. Yeah! Those who parse her speech just don't realize
what a great speech it was. I was super impressed. She didn't have to stand there and talk about her husband ..she talked about what she thought..it was magnificient!

10. This is probably a minority view here, but...(gulp!)
I didn't think her speech was great. I think she is an amazing, smart woman and it would be wonderful to have conversations with her. But she's no orator. She had her moments, but to me the speech seemed flat. She really needed a stronger close.

On the other hand, maybe I wasn't who the speech was targeted to. Or, maybe I'm setting the bar too high after Obama?

7. She must have something that men are picking up
As a woman, I think she's attractive and brilliant,
but I think men must be picking up her pheromones.

8. I look forward to Teresa Heinz Kerry debating Bush in Spanish
What a breath of fresh air she is.

Anybody have a link to Ilana Wexler speech? I'd like to hear it. She's 12 and started her own organization, and then gets to speak at a political convention. Classy!

Also, that Barek Obama URL over at C-Span doesn't work for me. Does it for others?

11. Yes, and what a speech!
My husband said he had never heard a first lady give a speech like that. I think she even beats Hillary-deeper and more introspective. I just saw MSNBC (not sure who he was-maybe Tucker Carlson or Hannity??) -anyway talking about how Teresa was going to cost Kerry votes and what if she 'did something' closer to the election. Then he mentioned her 'shove it' comment. A woman on the show (sorry for not knowing names but I don't watch MSNBC)said people would vote for Kerry, then Edwards and then look at the wives. And she said what about Cheney and what he said on the floor of the senate. Of course, then they had to cut to Edwards. They are such hypocrites.

12. Can you blame Kerry for falling for her, even though she's mega-rich?
Edited on Tue Jul-27-04 11:41 PM by Feanorcurufinwe
I wouldn't hold that against her...
