Poll question: Do you support National No Name Calling Day Sept. 21st?
"National No Name Calling Day". Please sign our petition asking candidates to stop negative attacks and endorse National No Name Calling Day on September 21, 2004 . Imagine a day where insults take a vacation and candidates focus on what they're going to do to help our country. Together, we can send a powerful message and call for a time out on name calling and attack ads. Our leaders should be positive role models and act in ways that inspire us to better ourselves and our country. With your help, WE CAN HAVE A VOICE TODAY!!!

There is something wrong with a system where attack ads and personal insults are considered the norm because they "are effective." Let's restore respect in voting and get more people to believe their voice matters. Please sign our "National No Name Calling Day" petition today.

Hey sounds good to me, maybe even No Name Calling Day for DU would be a good idea.

2. Every day should be no name calling day. Candidates should be about
truthfully talking about disagreements and honestly stating a forward looking vision for the nation. It should be able statementship, not Sringer-esque drama.

3. It Would Be Easier to Have a No-Name-Calling Day

If Bush wasn't such a Mentally-Retarded, War-Hungry, Psychologically Unstable Faux-Fundamentalist, Right-Wing Deranged Whack-Job AWOL Chickenhawk Coward.

Of course, if that means I can go a day without hearing that stale old shit "flip-flopper" thing, then sign me up.

5. Ok, but let me get this out of my system first then:
George W Bush is a stupid, worthless, no-good, goddamned, free-loading, son of bitch, retarded, asshole, know-it-all, jerk

I forgot ugly, lazy, and disrespectful.

Now let's shut him up and go have a turkey pot pie.

We listened to the rabid RW for 8 friggin' years calling Clinton every name in the book. NO. As I see it. We have at least 4 more years of "getting even." The only one I see calling names NOW....is the repug party. Do you really think this is the time to start playing nice with these people? It can't be done. They are out to win this election at all costs and they aren't about to stop their bullshit until they have won. Nope. Fight fire with fire.

No being nice until the cabal is indicted and convicted, walking in orange jumpsuits in handcuffs. IMCPO.

Ya....I'm vindictive. :grr:

11. Bit of a push poll, eh, Fean...?
I usually try to give the opposite side of my view a fair shake, at least recently, when wrtiting up these polls.

Still voting 'no'.

Not for your reason, but because first, the Busheviks would NEVER honor it and second, because we are about 12 years in arrears for all the "polite years of 1988-2000 when they attacked like, well, like Kinder and Gentler Nazis.

No.
