Will Teresa hatred overshadow Hillary hatred?
Tonight we saw an woman who is outspoken, confident, smart, accomplished, successful mother with incredible kids, who has a compelling life story.

Repukes will have to work overtime to bash her AND Hillary. And you know they will!

1. Teresa is much softer, so I don't think she will get
as much hatred as Hillary, but, since that's all the repugs have to go on, yes, they will villify her as much as they can.

12. "Much softer than Hillary"?? I think you've misread Teresa....
...I get the sense that if you get on her bad side, you're in a lot of trouble on a variety of levels.

14. The coverage by CNN, MSNBC, and FOX was pretty brutal last night...
...and it will only get worse before election day.

18. It doesn't matter...smart people will embrace the Dems this time around
THK is second Jackie Kennedy. She can speak to at least five peoples in their own language. She is sexy, smart, fietsy, and RICH!!!! Everytime she takes the stage she is saying in her own way: "go fuck yourself."

20. A Second Jackie Kennedy?
Please gods, no. Somehow I think THK will find more to do than decorate the White House. The woman has a VOICE and she uses it, something I don't think we ever heard from Kennedy. Times were different, of course, but there is no comparison in the public persona of these two.

3. It isn't Hillary or Teresa -- it's hatred of women.

And minorities -- particularly if any of them are smart or strong or prominent or successful or outspoken. On edit: Or heaven forbid, liberal!

The GOP, as far as I'm concerned, is basically a rich, white, male, pedophile ring, and the more they bash someone the more certain I am that the bashee must be one of the most decent people on the planet.

4. I think that the rethuglicans will find...

...that they've bitten off more than they can chew when (not if) they start to get really nasty about Teresa.

I FULLY expect some far(but not too far) down the line rethuglican start to insinuate that JK & THK were complicit in John Heinz's death. It wouldnn't surprise me to see them say that John & Elizabeth Edwards had something to do with their son's death. I know that this seems beyond the pale, but I don't think that the halliburton aministration has a depth to which it will not sink!

nothing will eclipse the hatred the RightWingNuts have for the Clintons... Just the mere mention of their name sends them into mouth foaming, body contorting, rabid convulsions...

6. they bash Theresa at their own peril
we all saw the response she got tonight from the crowd.

I thought she was magnificent. (and I'm a 42 year old white guy)

If the repubs want to bash her, I say bring 'em on. They'll only lose votes because of it.

9. I was going to write that, but then I read your post
Any woman who is the First Lady will be derided by the right. Lets put it this way...if she was a demure, soft spoken, "out of the spotlight" librarian woman married to a Democratic president she would be described as a liberal feminazi who spent the better part of her life passing communist propaganda to unsuspecting children. She would be be described as being even more devious due to the fact that she wasn't outspoken.

All I have to say is FUCK THE RIGHT WING MEDIA

8. Why, of course!
Didn't you get the meme? Teresa is cold, distant, and a rude ass! I know this 'cause the teevee told me so!

Yeah, the days of Hilary-hatred are over. I mean, how dare we have a First Lady who isn't a mindless subservient robot? What is becoming of this country?

13. Hillary is much more aggressive
But let's face it. It could be Mother Theresa and the RWers would hop all over her.

Teresa will be a lightning rod because of her husband's party affiliation. They like to stick to a proven formula. The mere mention of the word 'Hillary' immediately rallies the troops.

Teresa is a bit more reserved, but I don't see her as the type to take shit from anyone. That pisses off the RW, who despise the notion that women have an important role in society.

15. Of course. . . it already has.
Not only is Teresa intelligent, and outspoken, she's also loaded. That's just one more reason for the Repugs to pile on the hate.

16. I think people are getting sick and tired of the relentless
Repug bashing machine.

It worked for a while, because people took what they were saying at face value and believed the rumors and innuendos. Now, most people just hit the ignore button and tune them out.

The media and the Bu$hbots are just yakking their way to irrelevancy. In the meantime, the Dems are going to take back the government and clean up the mess that Georgie & Co have left behind.
