what is exactly a keynote speech? is it a speech that was officially designated to be the most important? father_twilight is confused...

5. It is supposed to set the tone or theme for the convention
In that sense, yes it is the most important. Sometimes it is not necessarily the most memorable. I don't think that will be a problem this time.

Though, there have been some very strong, forceful, and well delivered speeches at this convention.
