Who Falls for Bush's Bull shit?
Today, the record federal deficit has been been reduced from the projected $500 billion to $435 billion. The later figure is still the highest one year total in U.S. history. The moron in the White House is now touting this reduction as proof his policies are working. What a joke.

Earlier this year gas and fuel prices jumped from about $1.20 a gallon to $2.14 a gallon. Now, they have slowly dropped to about $1.95. Once again, he is pointing to "dropping gas prices". Is he kidding me?

On the jobs front, the Bush administration lost 3 million jobs in three years, now that some of those lost job numbers are increasing by anemic rates which do not reflect the lack of the quality of those jobs, Bush is taking credit for the "improving job market".

Are the members of this administration that stupid, or do they think we are?

16. Fine, raise my taxes!
If it means national health care, fully funded educational initiatives, support for the state and local authorities who are working with the Feds to keep the borders secure.

Go ahead and raise them. Please.

6. Bush/Cheney is counting on the moron vote
This election will be something of a test for Americans. Do they have any critical thinking skills or do they have the cognitive abilities of a hamster? Bush/Cheney relies on people having no long term memories -- not dissimilar to the Ministry of Truth's strategy in 1984.

Ooooh! There's something shiny on the floor! Gotta go!

8. I think Bush has Munchausen's Disease
I might have the spelling wrong, but it is that mental affliction where mother's make their kids sick and keep them that way so that they can take care of them even to the point of having to make dramatic efforts to "save" them. It's like the hero firefighter (no disrespect to that noble profession) who turns out to be the arsonist who set the fire in the first place so he could "save" the people inside the building.

Some kind of messiah complex.

9. gas prices "dropping" and "sandbagging"
the other day, for the second time in two months, I heard cable news touting the "falling gas prices" by referring to a drop of less than a penny over a two-week period ... I almost choked

all the examples you've given, I think, are instances of the whole "lowered expectations" phenomenon that surrounds our president ... it started back before the debates with Gore in 2000 and has continued ever since ... "Bush was supposed to get destroyed by Gore in the debate, but he only got beaten soundly ... therefore Bush won" ... "we were projecting a $500 billion deficit, but it's only going to be $435 billion, so we're being fiscally conservative" ... "gas prices were $2.14, now they're $1.95, so our energy policy is working" ... "we were down 3 million jobs, now we're only down 2 million, so we're creating jobs"

there's a word for this: sandbagging ... I'm not a golfer, but I know this is similar to when there's a tournament where they split the field into "flights" after the first day based on the participants' scores, and then prizes are awarded after the second or third day to the "flight" winners, and you get people who deliberately play poorly on the first day to get put in a lower flight with players they can beat easily so that they are almost sure to win their flight and some sort of prize ... George Bush strikes me as the kind of person for whom this would be standard practice

10. Alzheimer's patients fall for it.
They can't remember things that happened more than 10 minutes ago - so "falling" gas prices, a smaller "deficit", and new "jobs" sound great to them.

Actually most of America cant'remember things that happened more than 10 minutes ago.

She has voted Republican her whole life and is now around 60. She works a job that makes $20,000. The other day she said if John Kerry is elected the country won't be safe. Yeah, I'd say he's looking for the moron vote.

18. Here's a good analogy.
Our neighborhood decides remove all penalties for dog owners failing to pick up after their dogs eliminate in others' yards. I proposed this measure, and now I let my dog shit in your yard. One day, there are eight piles of my dog's crap in your yard, and I happen to see you. I pick up half of one of the piles, smile at you, and tell you that my proposal is working.

I hate *, and I used this vile reference on purpose.
