I worked for a company, several years ago, that contacted our Corp. attys. in a effort to sue a financial broadcaster on CNBC for saying on their noon broadcast that he heard our Co. was associated with the Mafia, and international fraud, among other things. We were advised by several very prominent Attys. that this is considered opinion journalism and you can't sue for that.

Seems to me that Boortz would fall into the same catagory.

My suggestion would be to stop listening to him, and never call his show. If enough people stop paying any attention, and his calls are reduced, he'll lose his sponsors, and ultimately lose the show.

The few loyal fans he has will stick with him no matter what he says or does.

Its opinion ! You can say most anything in Georgia and get away with it. I know I checked when someone called m son a horrible name and the employer believed him and he hasn't worked since. No such thing as slander. Not even opinion. In Georgia you can be called a whore, a bitch, and be a Sunday school teacher. You can be called a rapist or murderer....and never even have a jaywalking ticker and a person can say you need killing and its not considered a threat. You need lynching. Someone should kill you. All of that is allowed under the law. A person actually has to say I am going to kill you and then you have to have 1 or 2 witness for a terroristic threat.
Sad isn't it, considering how many guns are here.
They can say you need your Ass kicked. or Somebody is going to kick your ass. They can call your work up and say you are a druggie, or a pervert and there ain't a darn thing you can do about it !
This is a right to work state and I know or a fact there are contractors hiring 11 year old kids to work and don't answer to anybody. They work them for 25.00 a day. Now that I think is against the law. But if it went to court they would just in this redneck town, we were just helping the kids out in summer and teaching them responsbility. Their parents signed a release or waiver. See what I mean......Its ridiculous !

Al Franken nailed him big time the other day. Boortz went on some show and said that he'd offered to let Al host his show but that he'd handle the callers because Franken couldn't take it. Al said this was a total lie. Then Boortz denied he ever said it. Then Franken showed him the transcript for the show, and Boortz said the transcript was wrong. Then Boortz came on Al's show, and Franken played the tape for him. Boortz was furious. Later he called Franken and left a message, criticizing him for playing a "game of gotcha." He even had the nerve to suggest that he went on Al's show to help him, becuase his show was struggling, even though it's already number 2 in the New York market behind only Rush Limbaugh.

This man has no credibility at all, and he's a stupid moron.
