Hilarious parody of Bush by Will Ferrell |
|
Edited on Wed Jul-28-04 08:27 AM by RatTerrier
Saw a link to this on Michael Moore's site. Thought you'd like to see it: http://www.whitehousewest.com/Check out the video. They highly encourage making Dumbya a full-time resident of the 'Western White House'.

That part was the best!
But then, there were the parts about the horses, too...

5. why don't the DEMS run that on TV? |
|
I know it's long, but how great would it be to play it at the convention?
is it legal to do it?
they could break it up into segments and play it as a serial

W. spends so much time down on the ranch trying to look like a good old fashioned american. How much time did he ever spend on a ranch or outdoors situation prior to the past 10-15 years? I know they lived in texas a bit when he was younger, but that was a normal house in the city.
How much of the ranch stuff is just to make him look less like he's from a patrician family, such as he is. What generation Yalie is he? How many other ranch owners in texas went to Andover then Yale?
*sigh*

Was purchased in 1998 or so, before the start of the presidential campaign, purely as a prop.
It is also a farm, not a ranch, since there are no cattle on it. Like everything else Bush has done, he puts a phony label on something that is totally misleading (No Child Left Behind, Clear Skies, Healthy Forests).
Although, since there are no cattle on the Bush farm, this might be the only phony label of Bush's that had nothing to do with bullshit.

remember how after 9/11 Ferrell said he would never impersonate Bush again? Just one more bit of post-9/11 goodwill Bush managed to squander.

24. kudos to Will Ferrell |
|
Very interesting interview with him in "GQ", not long ago. He said that Bush called SNL to get him to do a photo-op ("I need you to get your boy to do this"), and when he refused, Bush put pressure on the NBC executives.
He hasn't been politically outspoken before, so he's picked a great time to take a stance. (Ferrell also said that if he got to play Bush again, he'd have him wearing the flightsuit and helmet all the time -- in cabinet meetings, state visits, reading to schoolkids -- pretty funny.)

26. There's two million unemployed people |
|
"Some people would have you believe the economy isn't doin' so hot. Of two million jobs we've lost, that means there's two million people sittin' at home, watchin' quality repeats on the television, such as The Jeffersons or Facts of Life. That just equals more ad revenue for radio and TV stations." And that pretty much sums up trickle-down economics.
Are you sure it's not a bear? Or a poodle?
