1. Yes, and it was dreadful, maudlin goo
She actually mentioned "Hop On Pop" as proof of how committed Chimpy was to helping kids read. Blecch.

3. Hey what do you have against Hop on Pop
That book is brilliant. Probably the best book on hopping on pop ever written.

Now Laura Bush, her speaking skills, that's whats blecch!

Oh wait, that's probably what you meant in the first place.

Nor will I speak out against Seuss, Baum or Rowling.

But I see you do agree that her speech was :puke: -inducing!

7. Too bad they didn't get the progressive messages
from other Seuss classics--The Sneeches, The Lorax, The Butter Battle Book, Yertle the Turtle, etc.

5. remember this?

"Well, George spends every night with a teacher," she said. And in a common GOP jab at the travails of President Clinton, she said voters the couple meets tell the Texas governor, "I want my son or daughter to respect the president of the United States."

6. Boy..did she get surprised. she should have taught him
about holding a book upside right to read. I wouldn't let her teach my cat. I see the result of her teaching and her kids. Nothing like Chelsea.
