taxes and the minimum wage
Someone posted in LBN:

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - The CEO's at the nation's largest companies saw their raises more than doubled in 2003 as the median raise handed out by S&P 500 companies to their top executives was 22.18 percent, according to a study by The Corporate Library.

Seems to me the only way around such absurdities is to tax the hell out of them and raise the minimum wage. I think full-time working people should be able to afford at least the cheapest rent in an area - so it may need to be tied to that.

Around here, it would need to be $11.hr. In New York City - probably more like $20.hr.

1. tying the CEO pay (and benefits and bonuses) to the lowest worker
seems like the best method of stemming the economic split.

Why should not everyone involved in a company benefit from it's successes?

People cannot be expected to be reasonable otherwise, apparently.
