The myth of Hilary hatred.
Some cable news station did a segment on voters in Florida a month or so ago. They were interviewing basketball players and people in a sporting goods store and asked them about Hilary (among other things.) They were interviewing 6-8 people. Half said they were voting Bush, half said Kerry. EVERY SINGLE PERSON said they would vote for Hilary in a heart beat if she ran. They said she was the brains in the Clinton household and could use her brains to figure out what to do with the messes we are in today.

The anchor and interviewer were shocked and quickly changed the subject.

Also remember 70% of Americans supported Clinton during impeachment and Bill Clinton has a 62% approval rating now.

The more the media say Teresa won't play in Iowa, the more she will.

1. As a former Iowan
I have to agree - she will easily play in Iowa, more so than several other states, I'd imagine. Iowans are generally pretty sharp.

3. I actually heard Andrea Mitchell complaining to other pundits on
Edited on Wed Jul-28-04 10:39 AM by lovedems
the MSNBC panel that they are all guilty of underestimating the intelligence of the American public! She said the American people are smart and THK will go over very well with all women. Working women, stay at home mom's, the nurse, the etc. My jaw dropped!

Edited to add: She went over well with my husband and my step-dad. We live in the heartland and in our humble opinion, she did a fine job! We all have a great deal of respect for Hillary as well!

4. Florida is not the same as the South...
...where they prefer their women docile and ever-smiling like Laurah Bush. Not intelligent and strong-willed.

Besides, I personally would NOT vote for Hillary in the primaries because she is far too right-leaning and she and Bill both supported the Iraq war fully.
