Encounter with a Freeper. Franken vs.Miller
Co worker who is a closet Freeper was all pissed off at Al Franken! When I defended Franken, this co -worker said, "Al Franken is nothing more than a bad comediane who's 15 minutes were up years ago!He has zero credibilty! The man is just stupid & dumb!Stick to writing comedy!" I pointed out that Al wrote the screenplay to "When a Man Loves a Woman" hardly a comedy & that Al was very successful at SNL. I then said the same must be true for Dennis Miller. The Freeper said to me,"Oh no, Dennis is different.Dennis has been hired by a reputable news network. Why?Because he's smart.Al Franken is an entertainer for the left wing only.Big difference!"

I just had to laugh.Nothing I could say would convince him other wise!

8. By that last remark I take it that you've never been to a

freeper wedding.

Franken worked for them:

By the way, I read about 3/4 of Franken's book last night, it is a gem. Just the table of contents had me laughing.

10. i pre-ordered
And the indie bookstore (in Billings Montana yet) had a stack of them yesterday. I think they pushed up the release schedule. Amazon was also shipping them, last I checked.

Hooray for Al!

5. Politics aside, nobody is quicker than Miller
I don't agree at all with his politics, but Dennis Miller is flat out the quickest-thinking-on-his-feet comedian of his generation and that includes Robin Williams. Franken is a good writer, but nowhere near Miller or Williams on the raw intelligence level. If you heard some of Miller's stuff from the early 80's I don't think you could disagree.

9. Your doing a Parody aren't you?

I never have found Miller funny, witty or intellectual. He makes bad jokes containing some highhbrow esoteric trivia and it misses badly. Perfect fit for FAUX.

11. A haw, haw, haw, good one!
Miller? DENNIS Miller? Quick on his feet? Maybe 20 years ago, but nowadays he's a shill for the Ruling Elite! He hasn't had an original thought since Jack Welch and Rupert Murdoch started stuffing his pockets! Bwahahahaha!

12. Miller...
was funny and very articulate, then he sold his soul because he heard
someone called Rudy a "nazi",not that I ever believed that bullshit,
he sold his soul for the dough. As a quick wit he is done, John Stewart
or Keith Olberman would leave him in the dust,as far as Franken goes,
Dennis is a dinosaur too blind to find the tarpits.

6. I LOVE that RW freaks who listen to AM TAWK RADIO ENTERTAINERS
are told HOW to think and what to be outraged at.

I don't validate their opinions or bother arguing with them. I just tell them they need to form their own opinions instead of basing their spew on the "AM TAWK RADIO Entertainers". I say that following the marching orders of some freak on AM radio is like riding a horse and buggy.

They shut up real fast.
