Edited on Wed Jul-28-04 12:38 PM by proud patriot

Republicans are willing to give up Essential
Liberty because of Fear .

I believe they Fear our Enemies more than they
Love our Children .

What else do you see republicans do out of Fear ?

My apologies to Cats everywhere .

1. They try to silence the left
because they're scared to death to actually debate them fairly.

2. hell yes they are!
that loud shouting and those red faces are not displays of bravado, that's for damned sure! They mask their fear behind tough-guy talk and false outrage

3. Right-Wing Fear
Democracy is not good for the Right Wingers as they do operate out of fear and with democracy they may not be put in power or be able to hold power.

6. They fear human equality...
All they can do is dis-empower others (specifically those less privileged) through financial, ideological & legislative bully tactics.
Their greatest fear is loss of power -- the "horrible" reality that *gasp* all humans are equal.

There are no depths to which they will not sink simply to keep themselves "above" everyone else.

This also ties into the basic insecurity of poor whites who vote repub. For poor white repubs, there is an inability to accept the fact that they are on the same level as poor minorities. It's that sick need for racial superiority. The irony is that they are cheering the repubs while royally getting screwed by them.

8. They fear gay equality becoming law
....because they're afraid that they may have to accept the gay people in their own circle of family, neighbors, co-workers and possibly aquaintances.

11. The two driving factors that make a republican: Fear, Greed.
That is why the gravitate to the right wing of politics. They are cowardly by their very nature. They pick fights then send democrats to do the actual fighting. They are literally coat racks: "Go kick that guys ass for me, here I'll hold your coat."
