Which parties invite terrorism? If our might was to keep every country in fear then there would never be any attacks anywhere on the planet. If military might kept you safe and made you 'Strong' then Israel would not need a wall.

Why do the Dems keep letting these nonsense statements go unchallenged?
Clinton thwarted more homeland attacks than Bush, that's a fact. The OK bombing and the Atlanta bombings were home grown as was the letter bomber...most if not all were white anarchists, exactly the types that the NRA and the Republicans appeal to.

Get real people! Wake up!

1. You can't really blame either of those things...
On the sitting president.. in all fairness...

2. Why not?
Haven't they ever heard of "personal responsibility"?

3. Tha main reason I think that....
Is because both of those things... as well as the intent behind them.. is much bigger than one president or one administration...

Personal responsiblity? See also: CIA, FBI

6. The CIA was able to ID and help stop the Millenium bombings...
And Clinton really, really pushed for counter-terrorist measures in the US.
(Read Clarke's "Against All Enemies", for starters.)

Reagan wanted the Marines in Beiruit to sleep on shore, as a "show of strength", rather than on ship.
There's your personal responsibility.

9. Because it's not true when they do it.
Facts are on our side here.
It's not an issue of "they do it so we can do it".
FACTS are on our side.

10. In blaming blaming one single person
for 9/11.. the facts aren't on anyone's side.

I wish we could get away from just trying to point fingers about what happened...because it's wholy partisan, and nothing but.

Heyo

5. Hell Yes!
Reagan was commander in chief and sent the marines to Lebanon, as well as bombed the hell out of Beirut from the sea.

the current extremist ignored the signs and willfully isolated our country.

Both are guilty.

Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!

You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both, and there you have....(anyone care to finish this) ;)

12. Accepts responsibility? Please
He might have for Lebanon, but to add to my little list of Reagan errors...he NEVER took responsibility for the countless thousands that died of AIDS related complications

Reagan is answering a lot of tough questions right now--and he has no excuses.

13. sorry, my response was confusing
Reagan took responsibility for Lebanon, Bush has taken responsibility for squat. And, at least Reagan semi-apologized for Iran Contra...

Social & economic issues are another story altogether.
