RFK Jr. bashing bu$h's environmental policies. |
|
And the lobbyists that influence those policies. He sounds so much like his Dad.

and it is hard. I still haven't gotten over his father's death. I loved Robert Kennedy. His son sure reminds me of him.

14. his speaking voice drive me a little nuts... BUT |
|
THAT was a FINE speech!
one can only hope that the double-punch of destroying the environment for the PROFIT of BushCo friends is a HUGE issue for Kerry.
FOUR MORE YEARS of Bush means MORE of your children sick FOUR MORE YEARS of Bush means LESS national forests FOUR MORE YEARS of Bush means MORE pollution FOUR MORE YEARS of Bush means LESS clean water

15. Damn that was a great speech from Robert Kennedy Jr. |
|
He pointed out that the EPA is run by lobbyist who are eviscerating our environmental laws. I learned more from his speech which was rushed because of time restraints than in any other medium. This was a prime time speech that should have been on last night and not in the afternoon. I hope that Kerry puts him as head of the EPA when he takes office.

22. Ted was a guest conductor last night |
|
The same night Senator Kennedy wowed the Democratic Convention, he also wowed the audience at Symphony Hall, acting as guest conductor for a rousing edition of "The Stars and Stripes Forever." "Outfitted onstage in a white jacket handed to him by Ben Affleck ("one of your constituents"), the senator led it like a pro, delighting the audience by crouching for the quiet parts and later going bananas to encourage the trombones; at the end, as Old Glory and cascades of balloons descended, he turned to face the crowd and flashed the famous grin. The occasion was a tribute to Kennedy's long career, and it brought out a stageful of celebrities, representing the arts, which Kennedy has so mightily supported. They included Glenn Close, who served as host; Bono; Yo-Yo Ma; Audra McDonald; Brian Stokes Mitchell; John Williams, the Boston Pops, and Keith Lockhart. Collectively they represented classical music, Broadway, Hollywood, and rock."
