How Republicans around America are reacting to Obama's speech...
"I don't know what all the hype is about Obama Bin Barack being a great speaker, Merle. He looks BLACK to me."

"Yeah, Vern. That's one of those ones the liberal media calls "articulate". I guess articulate is fancy-pants talk for 'uppity black'. And that ketchup woman. She sounds like Dracula"

"Perfect companion for Lurch, huh!"

(Idiotic giggling ensues)

Anyway, that's the kind of conversation I imagine is going on in GOP households...

That's about the level at which they think about politics...

1. If republicans saw Obama's speech last night, they saw the beginning of
the end for them and they know it. I bet they will start going after him like they did Clinton. Will we see a documentary, "The Hunting of Obama"?

2. But seriously, how are RW'ers responding? I'm curious.

5. Limbaugh
Rhymed Obama with Osama. He pretended to accidentally say one for the other. I thought the bam in Obama rhymed with spam. Rush says it like rhymes with mom. They are working toward calling Obama Osama.

6. They're shaking in their boots.
Because not only will we own 2004 and 2008, but Obama will take it in 2012, too. :)

7. Believe it or not....
This was a reaction from a RW "friend" of mine from another board. Seriously, this guy's so conservative he calls himself "John Ashcroft"...

All I've got to say is that you clowns nominated the wrong dude. I couldn't believe I was actually listening to a Democrat with this one. All this talk about "one America", "hope", "dreams", and God Forbid "hard-work"... (Not to mention the numerous mentions of God himself).

When's the last time you've heard that kind of optimism out of any Democrat??? It's always whining and complaining, then the natural finger pointing to "evil Conservatives". I'm being serious here guys, this guy stole the show last night. I don't know much about him, but he actually struck me as kind of "Reaganesque" with this speech. I really truly was surprised to see this kind of optimistic talk about America from a Dem.

I was also surprised when it came time for him to endorse Kerry/Edwards. I mean, he's talking about a "United" States of America, then he endorses Capt. Class-Warfare, and his sidekick "Two-Americas" Edwards. It didn't add up.

Anyway, this is the type guy that can resuscitate the Democratic party in my opinion. The question is, will the party let him, or will they keep him at the back of the bus like they do every other Black Democrat?

Still, I'm not sure why this guy's a Democrat at all. I'm a bit confused by him, but certainly intrigued...

If Obama ever does run for President, it's likely he'll get at least one RW vote.
