Can't WAIT for tonite! Dennis! Mellencamp! Edwards! The Black Eyed Peas!! |
|
Edited on Wed Jul-28-04 05:30 PM by VolcanoJen
And... WYCLEF JEAN!!!
Not to mention Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Governor Granholm... it's going to be a night to remember!
Anyone else out there as jazzed as I am?
I'm very excited to learn that Wyclef kicks everything off at seven o'clock, and The Black Eyed Peas will hit the stage just after Edwards' speech... I admire BOTH of these acts so much for standing loud and proud for Kerry/Edwards! And, if you've never seen Black Eyed Peas live, I promise it's going to be a get-pumped-UP fantastic closer!!
LET'S GET IT STARTED! LET'S GET IT STARTED IN HERE! LET'S GET IT STARTED!
ETA: Oh my God... I didn't realize this, but BRIAN MCKNIGHT is singing the National Anthem!!!! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better! So much talent on one stage tonight... I'm feeling FANTASTIC!!
Sorry, it's just that this political convention stuff is like crack to me... ;-)

I saw him on Real Time with Bill Maher once a while back and he was speaking very passionately about farm issues and talking about agribusiness. He's a really good guy. I just don't care for his music. I'm glad he's here though. We need all the help we can get.

They are such a high-energy, political, positive band, and I like them even more now that I know they're standing up for Kerry/Edwards tonight by pumping up the crowd and getting us ready for the battle ahead.

Except for MenstrualCramp. The music at this convention has been lamer than Christopher Reeve.
Good night for speeches though.

The music lined up for tonight appeals to young and old alike... high energy, high relevance, high political content, high talent quotient!
It's a shame you haven't heard Wyclef or Black Eyed Peas before... maybe they'll turn you around tonight. :D

Didn't he do something with Chaka Khan at the 2000 Republican Convention?
As far as I know, he's not performing his own set, but he's singing the National Anthem tonight.
Hey, it's quite possible Brian McKnight's come around on his choice of candidates. :D

I just wish the World Poker Tour didn't come on tonight...damn, will have AAR going full blast in one room, C-Span TV in the living room, and Poker on Travel Channel in the bedroom.
Had same thing going on the other day...my son walked in the door to visit, listened for 10 seconds, shook his head, and walked out.
