AL SHARPTON was the only speaker to make me cry
and I don't expect ANY of the other speakers to accomplish that.

3. I was more enthusiatic with Al's speech, however...
Obama's speech is the only one that brought tears and raised the bumps on my arm thusfar.

8. The first speaker to date that I jumped up out of my chair
and clapped like hell.

To hear the CNN crew describe it, Rev. Al should be arrested for not following protocol.

Good job done, Al!!!

9. I loved his speech. I switched from MSNBC to CSPAN just to watch it
completely. Tweedy interrupted and later gave negative comments about it. What is wrong with him?

I think he was needed there. I loved how he "answered" Bush's questions.

21. I guess
I'm the only one who can't cry during political speeches. It seems to me to be akin to being brainwashed by party politics. I always think about the other side of the isle that cries when Bush and Co. speak, and it just seems like too much. Whoever's elected, its essentially another four years of politicians and Washington and beaurocracy and so on.

I'm so used to politics as usual and dirty politicians that I can't see the sincerity of their words and believe them when they talk of hope and honor.

Don't get me wrong, I know there is a clear difference between the parties, and I know I strongly stand in the Democratic camp, but crying just seems getting too worked up about it. But I'm glad you guys are genuinely that impressed and spirited.

seen "purple mountain's majesty" but still have hope that if they work hard enough they will! Great speaker...he needs to do speeches for Dem candidates... He brings the message of the "common man" to LIFE! Inspite of his background with the Brawley case...he has a wonderful talent...it shouldn't be wasted. I'm glad he was given a "spot" in
"prime time."

24. helluva' speech about time someone said at a convention what he did
and yes i had tears too.

know what? one of the "people" scrambled up on the stage of the ruling class tonight and pulled the whole damn curtain away. no wonder the gop media whores are already going bonkers.

is it lost on anyone that the two best and most important speeches this week have been by african-americans?

the democratic party reflects this country and its promise, the gop distorts them.

31. Obama made me cry, Clinton made me cry, Sharpton
ENERGIZED me to work for change. To move it! To shout it from the house tops. To keep pushing ahead...never ever give up. Never hang my head. He let me feel okay about being angry over certain things. That it's okay to open my mouth and TELL IT LIKE IT IS when things are wrong.

KEEP HOPE ALIVE.

Clinton, Dean and Obama also made me cry. But Sharpton made me sob. Flat out sob and laugh on the drive home while listening to the radio. I love you Al Sharpton.

Every day I find myself saying "best speech yet!"
