Oh, how far we have come as a party!
I have never been prouder of my party than I am this week.

After so many long years of ignoring Jimmy Carter (apparently buying into the rightwing garbage that his presidency was a failure), he's finally embraced as THE elder statesman at this convention.

And after so many years of acting too embarrassed of the Rev. Al to claim him as one of our own (something occasionally understandable, in the past), he's our man-on-fire tonight.

Yes, we continue to grow, and I'm damn happy.

1. I hope it does not take a shrub-like president to
unite our party like this from here on out!

2. I'll second that.
This is one great convention. After Clinton spoke I thought that was the high but it keeps getting better every night. I've never seen us so united, never not even with Clinton. There's such a spirit there you can feel it. Wish the networks were showing this for all to see.

4. I have been thinking the same thing....
Everything about this week has been stellar and just made me very proud. The diversity of speakers and their different styles and life experiences and messages. I have had such a good feeling this week. Particularly staying away from the annoying right wing talking head commentary.

Conventions always struck me as boring and lame. But I really wish I were at this one.

My only sadness comes from realizing how quickly it can all get shot to shit after a few days of right wing talking points about some stupid made up controversy about nothing.

6. This is the first convention
I have ever really watch and I am loving it. I am marveling at the diversity and energy of the Democratic Party. The talent is amazing. Clinton killed, then there was Obama, who I had heard was good, but my god, he was better than I could have imagined. Tonight Sharpton rocked and Edwards hasn't even spoken yet. Plus the Black Eyed Peas!!!! Too bad it took 4 years of horrible georgie to get me interested.
