His speech blows away what Edwards is doing right now.

2. Edwards will get the nomination after 8 years as V.P. |
|
I strongly suspect he will be even more wildly popular by then.

5. I suspect Obama will be too and I hope he challenges Edwards |
|
Much like Bradley did to Gore in 2000. It is very possible that a similar outcome will occur, but I'll be working for my Senator.

power.
Of course, I won't ever be able to vote Republican until they de-Totalitarianize, which is unlikely to happen.
It's a pity, really. I cannot express and support my 30% conservative/right views through the System.
Of course, at the moment the System is very much disconnected from We the People, so it's the same and worse currently.

21. If that happens, 20 years of Democratic pResdiencies are not possible |
|
What it WILL mean is that Extreme Gerrymandering as well as both Manual and Electronic Disenfranchisement and Bushevik Double-Voting has effectively disconnected the Voice of the People.
What it means is that the Old American Republic is DEAD DEAD DEAD and I'll be thinking about other things besides the deabsed and Stalnistic (though more subtle, of course, because Ameikans STILL aren't as whipped yet as Commie Russian of 1950) Imperial Amerikan "Voting" System.

9. After the last 4 years, I will NEVER give my vote to a Republican. |

The trauma and absolute terror I've felt regarding the future of my country has profoundly influenced me. No way will I ever trust a Repuke again.

10. May I assume Obama would be Edwards' VP 2012-2020? |
|
After 8 years as Senator and 8 years as VP, it would be VERY hard to hold his race against him.
Hope I haven't made and ass of u and me!

17. How about instant runoff or proportional representation now? |
|
How long exactly does the Democratic Party, the leadership of which consistently starts out in support of every war and every new corporate outrage that comes along before entertaining second thoughts, plan to hold the progressive movements of the world hostage?
Screw your plans of monopoly. How about an even playing field, one where no vote is wasted? We can have instant runoff (where you rank candidates and everyone's vote goes to their second, third, fourth choice until there is a winner with a majority). Or we can have proportional representation, which ends the present tyranny of the winner.
Where would Kerry be now, if people had not feared that he had the best chance of outpolling Bush in a winner-take-all election? If people knew they could vote for what they actually want, without taking away from their choice of a lesser evil?
This is not sports, this is not about dynasties.

we're stuck with 2 parties in terms of the presidency.

20. well that's the point! |
|
And you can have all the fantasies you like about monopolizing the presidency but long as the Democrats are Republican Lite the Republicans will keep coming back to power. Only PR (or at least instant runoff) will allow a shift in this nation's politics. Put it in place and I guarantee you the Republicans will never come to power again!
