7. Sharpton
He had the nerve to stand up to the people who want to turn everything into homogenized glop that will neither challenge nor offend anybody. Edwards speech was perfect for a candidate -- it inspired the faithful and didn't offend anybody. But Sharpton said what a lot of us have been thinking for four years and said so FEARLESSLY. That was the kind of speech that you used to get all the time before focus groups and rectal probes up every undecided voter in the country.

Thank you, Al -- it was great.

And thank you, John E., we'll be looking for more of the same all the way from now 'til November 2nd.

8. Sharpton rocked the house and
he was speaking TRUTH TO POWER! He said what needed to be said. He gets my vote. Edwards was a close second.
