CNN talking points

Today I heard Janeane Garofalo on AAR indicate that she was talking with people from CNN on the convention floor, and they indicated that every morning they have been told to get their talking points from drudge.

If this is true it shows what a disgrace the fourth estate has become

1. It seems strange that they would tell Janeane that..I'm not

not doubting her but Geez! I also believe they must get their talking points from drudge or rove.

The CNN newsmodel that she was speaking to said that they all (the CNN newspeople) go to Drudge's site and Page Six first thing every morning so they can see what's up. She said that she was at the GQ party last night, and that's when she was talking to the CNNer. Sam said she should tell everyone the woman's name, that everyone knows her. I wonder who it is?

On edit: Sad, ain't it? This is what news reporting has come to in the "mainstream". Guess I'll stick to Pacifica and Amy Goodman and the foreign press.

3. She didn't say that exactly...

She said that this woman told her that those 2 pages were the 1st things she reads each morning. That's NOT necessarily equal to being TOLD to read those and USE the stories as talking points.

If we are better than the Reps, we need to be accurate in our rumor-mongering.
