Where did you hear that there would be "surprises" in Kerry's speech? I have not heard anything like that.

5. It was something about Kerry revealing that he's made of liquid metal. |
|
Drudge said it, so it must be true.

4. Historically, he's been very charismatic, and he seems to have toned |
|
things down during the campaign. I've seen that episode of Cheers in reruns -- the one where he has a cameo -- and I keep thinking that that's the Kerry I remember. He's funny, he sounds good, and his acting is actually pretty good.
I've entertained the thought that he has toned things down intentionally during the primaries in a rope-a-dope sort of strategy.
I'm waiting for him to kick out the jams, which I think will leave a lot of people wondering if the media and the republicans are on crack when they say he's too uncharismatic.
What if that were the surprise?

8. I watched a program about Kerry last weekend |
|
and I was quite surprised at how outgoing he was. The program was about his post-Vietnam days. I kept thinking that he should start showing that side of himself again. Actually, when I've seen him with a large group of people, that seems to be when he pulls back. When he's been one on one, a lot more of his personality comes through. JMHO of course. :)

9. The msnbc pundits . Trippi et al, agree with your observation. |

I have talked to Kerry three times and I was amazed at how personable he is. His speeches ,however have been eratic. I saw a fabulous one he gave at the Citadel and was present at an incrdible speech he made at a luncheon.I haven't seen that quality of speech from him since. But they say he always closes the deal under pressure.
