It's being distributed during the Convention. Supposedly, it shows Kerry's positions on Iraq...designed to make Kerry look like a "flip-flop".

How effective is it? Will it make much of a difference? And shouldn't we point out BUSH's lies?

1. .You can watch it here.
http://www.rnc.org/

Click on the tv screen at the upper right of their site. You'll go to a site where you can click on Real Player or Windows Media Player. It's 11 minutes long, and begins with Kerry clips from 2001, uses lots of clips from the Dem Primaries, and plays the theme song from "Flipper".

12. John Kerry's website has the rebuttal
It takes all those quotes one by one and puts them in the context of which they were spoken. It was clearly misleading. They even called it a case of "Clip-Flop".

5. Actually, I think it's perfect timing
The dems have very publicly taken the high road to project a more positive message.. now the repukes are trumpeting their hate video targeted at the point-a-laugh bullies of their base. They'll be the only ones who enjoy it or even watch it. The rest of us are listening to what John & John have to say on the issues. :)

7. Flip-flopping vs outright lies ?? Which is more evil ?
Change your mind, you are a flip-flopper. Lie about going to war and people die. Obviously, this is an important issue.

9. I brought up this subject just because I know how nasty the GOP is.
They will stoop at NOTHING. They will do anything it takes.

My point merely is that we should be ready for it. I like the idea of taking the high road. But we know the GOP won't. My comment was that we should be ready for it and hit them back hard with their tactics.

8. The worse flip-flop of all....it cost 912 US soldiers lives
Iraq has no WMDs = Iraq has WMDs

Iraq is no threat to the US = Iraq is an imminent threat to the US

No proof that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11 = evidence of Iraq ties to 9/11

I'm a uniter not a divider = go fuck yourself

You tell me which flip-flops matter most?

10. What about:
Bush was against the first $87 billion bill for the troops because it was going to be paid by the super rich in our country and then he is for the second $87 billion dollar bill because it was not going to be paid by the wealthy in our country? flip flop!

11. I think Michael Moore should produce a short video to point that out.
Lots of people, of course, have seen "Fahreheit 09/11". But it would be great to have a short video pointing out what you just pointed out..a short, 15 minute video that nicely talks about Bush's flip flops. And Michael Moore would be just the person to do it. :-)

13. Yea, its pretty effective, although thankfully it wont get much air

As I was watching it, I was thinking about what Michael Moore could have done with material. Im just glad the M.M. is on our side.

(edit: understand, that just because its effective, doesnt mean that its truthful)

14. "Stay the course" and watch more of your sons & daughters die.
It is so nice we have such a stubborn mule headed CIC who doesn't care about the troops.

Why would we want someone who changes their mind when receiving new information?
